A study conducted in 2001 for The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) confirms that there is little evidence that bottled water is safer or healthier than tap water.
Scientists at the University of Geneva have arrived at the conclusion that the only difference between tap and bottled water was that, the latter contained added minerals and salt. Moreover, consumer groups have long warned about a wide range of chemical and microorganisms being found in bottled water.
Apart from the fear of contamination, it is now believed that bottled water is best avoided as it drains the body of minerals due to wrong ionization, pH, polarization and oxidation.
Those on the look out for the latest on RO technology will be eagerly awaiting the two day seminar at the Singapore Water hub, which is scheduled for the 28th and 29th of March 2007. Catch more news on the seminar in our upcoming issues.
