Aquapoint overcame both political and climatic conditions to win a major wastewater treatment contract in Sakhalin Islands, Russia. The prestigious Olympia Residential  Community Project created by Exxon Neftegas Ltd., selected Aquapoints Lotus wastewater treatment system because of its ability to treat high strength waste streams and to do so under extreme climatic conditions.quapoint began working on the project through their Aquapoint International office in the  United Kingdom in 2002. Exxon Neftegas Ltd. needed a treatment system that would stand up to the extreme Sakhalin Island winters where the temperature would often get to minus 30 degrees celsius. Aquapoints Lotus system will do that and more with systems tested down to minus 50 degrees celsius.
