The ultrasonic nebulizer significantly improves detection capabilities because much more sample is introduced into the ICPMS compared to conventional nebulizers. Coupled with the Dynamic Reaction Cell (DRC+, MWH is now capable of direct analysis of metals such as arsenic in potable waters at levels below 50 parts per trillion and can also analyze metals at low levels in more complex matrices such as seawater or beverages, both of which present significant analytical interferences for conventional ICPMS.
