Factory Direct Pipeline Products Inc. was formed in February of 2001 to facilitate industrial e-commerce directly with the manufacturers of Strainers, Filters, Pressure Gauges and related Pipe and Hose Fittings. Meant to enhance the traditional "Brick and Mortar", regionally located, stocking distributor, Factory Direct Pipeline Products Inc. provides a quick, Internet based method of researching and purchasing these products. Often the companies searching for products online are either unaware of a suitable regional distributor or that distributor isn't servicing that account for some reason. Through our unique "customizable catalog" interface, we can provide the additional assistance required to ensure the correct products are selected. To browse the world’s largest collection of industrial strainers and filter housings visit our customizable online catalog at http://www.fdpp.com.

Factory Direct Pipeline Products Inc. facilitates on demand purchasing directly from a manufacturer's warehouse. These are brand new, recently manufactured products that are usually purchased through regional industrial products distributors. Using our fully automated digital catalog you can cut out the middleman and reduce your costs.

Unlike the large catalog companies such as McMaster Carr and Grainger, we employ industry specialists that really know and understand each product in our catalog; this is why we specialize in a relatively narrow focus of industrial fluid handling products. We are just a phone call away if you require assistance with the customizable datasheets and online resource libraries. If you discuss your application with us and implement our suggestions, we will guarantee 100% compatibility with your process or refund your purchase completely.

Hydra-Cell Pumps

Seal-less positive displacement diaphragm pumps. Hydraulically actuated, Hydra-Cell’s do not require air and provide smooth flow rates from 0.1 GPM to 38 GPM at pressures from 50 to 1200 PSI (some models go up to 2500 PSI). All bearings and rotating parts are isolated from the fluid being pumped. Hydra-Cell’s pump reclaimed, abrasive, slurry, hot, non-lubricating fluids and can run dry. Materials of construction include stainless steel, brass, cast iron, polypropylene, Teflon and PVDF.

For more than 25 years Wanner Engineering has been manufacturing a truly unique and one-of-a-kind industrial pump - The Hydra-Cell™. What started off as building a better mousetrap (or positive displacement pump in this case!) has lead to fundamental innovations in the positive displacement pump industry. For example, the low-mass high-speed check valve design that has become a standard in most positive displacement pumps today is accredited to inventor Bill Wanner Sr. and his Hydra-Cell™ Pump.

The Wanner Engineering Hydra-Cell™ Pump is a unique, sealless, positive displacement pump for demanding industrial applications. It was designed, in-part, as an alternative to pumps that have cups, packing and mechanical seals - which are the most troublesome parts of most positive displacement pumps.

Hydra-Cell's™ are available in both horizontal and vertical configurations and are used to provide flow rates from 0.1 to 38 GPM at pressures from 50 to 2500 PSI.

The unique design of the Hydra-Cell™ Pump is not dependent on the fluid being pumped for internal lubrication. In-fact, all the bearings and moving parts are isolated from the fluid being pumped. This is why we can reliably pump chemicals, abrasives, slurries, viscous products, seawater, re-circulated water and many other fluids, either hot or cold. Our pumps are available with both metallic and non-metallic pump ends and can be direct driven with electric, pneumatic or hydraulic motors.

Industrial Spray Nozzles

Spray Nozzles and Systems for industrial applications including humidification, cooling, coating, cleaning & rinsing, tank/vessel washing, spray drying, pollution control, food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, pulp & paper industry, circuit board processing and primary metals manufacturing. Everything from a single spray nozzle to complex turn-key spray header systems are available.

There are so many different types of spray nozzles that if you combined the different designs, capacities, connections, coverage's and materials of construction you would have over 20,000 nozzles to choose from! Spray nozzles are used in just about every manufacturing application you can think of - whether you're cleaning, cooling, coating humidifying or creating a chemical reaction, spray nozzles are involved.

TPS has more than 30 years of experience in applying spray nozzles. The Lechler Company is the oldest spray nozzle manufacturer in the world, having made spray nozzles since 1879. Together we are a resource for you to use to help you choose the right spray nozzle for the application. But that's not all! Even the best spray nozzle is practically worthless if it's not applied properly. TPS and Lechler can provide you with the information that you need to ensure that your spray nozzles are being used efficiently.

Generally speaking, there are 6 broad categories of spray nozzles and related products, each group tends to be used for certain types of applications. Click here to find the group that seems most appropriate for your application.

Valves

We specialize in the application of non-metallic valves, including ball valves, butterfly valves and check valves. These valves are designed for use in either plastic or metal pipe systems and are available with electric or pneumatic actuators.  There are many benefits that plastic valves provide compared to their metallic counterparts, although usually their inexpensive cost and corrosion resistance are the determining factors.

Our valves are available with socket, threaded and flanged connections in PVC, CPVC and Polypropylene materials.

We also offer brass and stainless steel full port ball valves; some stainless steel models are available in three-way configurations. You can browse pricing and detailed specifications for each in our online catalog located at http://www.fdpp.com/ball-valves.htm.

Pinch Valves

Pinch valves are the most practical solution for all kinds of flow control applications including abrasive, corrosive and fibrous products, granules, powders and slurries. Pinch valves are made up of only a few parts, with the flexible sleeve being the most important item. Enclosed and surrounded by a housing, the valve sleeve is firmly held in place between the two ends of the valve housing. By introducing compressed air or a suitable liquid between the valve body and the sleeve, the valve can be fully closed or "pinched off". When the external pressure on the sleeve is released the sleeve will again spring back to its original fully open position.

Alb Klein Ohio is your source for low maintenance pinch valves ideally suited for a wide variety of applications and industries. Features of AKO pinch valves include:

  • Full port, straight through flow
  • Tolerates high percentage of solids
  • Negligible head loss
  • Full shut-off, even with suspended solids in the stream

Gas/Liquid Separators

Industrial separators remove moisture from a gas stream based upon internal geometries of the pressure vessel.

Steam: Installed ahead of steam turbines they protect the turbine blades from the erosive action of wet steam, pipe scale and other entrained debris. They are also installed in steam distribution lines to assure clean, dry steam enters heat exchangers, pressure reducer valves, temperature regulators, meters and other process equipment.

Compressed Air: Following intercoolers and aftercoolers, separators remove entrained moisture which would otherwise discharge through air using equipment such as air chucks, compressed air nozzles, and paint spray equipment. They are especially useful for long runs of piping and where broad temperature differentials are found.

Compressed Gas: Separators are used to remove oil, tar, water and other unwanted entrainment from gas streams, especially in conjunction of intercoolers and aftercoolers.

The Wright-Austin line of gas and liquid separators is one of the broadest and versatile product lines available for industrial applications. Anywhere liquid is entrained in a gas stream, these separators can be installed to dry it. Used in conjunction with steam lines, compressed air and other compressed gas lines, Wright-Austin Separators protect expensive equipment such as steam turbines, prolong the life of desiccant air dryers and improve the quality of air used by air driven equipment.

Precision instrumentation is vital to any fluid process for controlling and feedback purposes. Our product offing includes common brass and stainless steel pressure gauges as well as sophisticated instrumentation and specialty gauges for advanced fluid systems.  Gauges having Hastelloy wetted components and diaphragm seals made from exotic alloy's round-out our instrumentation line. These are available with integral pressure switches or switches as separate devices to send control signals to pumps, compressors, valves and other pipeline equipment.

High Quality pressure gauges having brass or 316SS internals for measuring pressures up to 14,500 PSI (1,000 Bar) as well as negative (vacuum) applications. Our gauges are designed to accurately measure the pressure of non crystallizing, low viscosity liquids and gasses.

Gauges can be supplied dry or with a glycerin fill to dampen vibration and pulsations in the flow.

In addition to traditional gauges having threaded connections, we also offer a 3A design for food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications that require a sanitary connection.

Our larger diameter gauges are designed for harsh chemical and petrochemical applications, such as installation in H2S environments. The wetted materials of constructions are Hastelloy C276 and they are compliant with the two main applicable NACE standards:

  • NACE MR 01 03 which has been issued to cover the Refining and Connected Chemical Process and where the conformity is granted by using a MONEL 400 sensing element. (our model MGS 36-40-60)
  • NACE MR 01 75 (ISO15156) which covers the Sour Oilfield Environments (where use of austenitic stainless steel is strongly limited and where use of Monel in no longer allowed)

The pressure gauges for absolute pressure are used when the pressure to be measured must not be influenced by the variation of the atmospheric pressure. The fluid pressure to be measured is compared to a reference pressure that must be equal to absolute zero (absolute vacuum). In order to do this, the measuring element is isolated in a reference chamber, which is sealed and where absolute vacuum is created. According to the type of application, they are available with threaded or flanged connections and within the ranges from 0…25 mbar to 0…1 bar absolute. They are available in DS 100 and DS 150 and can be supplied with electric contacts.

Gauges having integral pressure switches control compressors, pumps, presses, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and air-pressured circuits based upon the pressure setting the user inputs. The visual feedback can be useful for understanding the flow characteristics in specific parts of a fluid system.

They are available: with a single pole double throw microswitch, with single or double electric contacts or with single or double inductive contacts.

Diaphragm Seals are used to protect the measuring element of pressure gauges, pressure switches and electronic pressure transmitters from corrosive, viscous and sedimentary process fluids. We offer a wide variety of special high-strength diaphragm seal materials that are available with threaded and flanged connections.

All pressure instrumentation should be calibrated periodically and these instruments allow the user to check and certify with traceable reports all pressure instruments usually used on critical processes and in laboratories. Dead weight testers usually use air or oil media for pressurization although a water version is available for special applications.

Calibrators and dead weight testers can be used with software that helps the operator perform calibration and generates calibration certificates with traceable reference data.

Differential Pressure Gauges

Differential pressure gauges are used to indicate the pressure drop across a portion of a fluid system, typically a strainer or filter housing to determine when the elements need to be cleaned or replaced.

We can provide these with both visual and electronic differential pressure indication in many units of measure (inches of water, PSI, bar, etc...)

In addition to traditional gauges having threaded connections, we also offer a 3A design for food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications that require a sanitary connection.

Low Pressure and Vacuum Gauges

The pressure gauges for absolute pressure are used when the pressure to be measured must not be influenced by the variation of the atmospheric pressure. The fluid pressure to be measured is compared to a reference pressure that must be equal to absolute zero (absolute vacuum). In order to do this, the measuring element is isolated in a reference chamber, which is sealed and where absolute vacuum is created. According to the type of application, they are available with threaded or flanged connections and can be supplied with electric contacts.

Pressure Switches and Gauges with Integral Pressure Switches

Pressure switches and gauges having integral pressure switches can be used to control compressors, pumps, presses, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and air-pressured circuits based upon the pressure setting the user inputs.  The feedback provided can be useful for understanding the flow characteristics in specific parts of a fluid system.

Pressure switches are available for both water proof and explosion proof applications for indication of pressure or differential pressure.

Diaphragm Seals for Protection of Pressure Gauges and Instrumentation

Diaphragm Seals are used to protect the measuring element of pressure gauges, pressure switches and electronic pressure transmitters from corrosive, viscous and sedimentary process fluids.  We offer a wide variety of special high-strength diaphragm seal materials that are available with threaded and flanged connections.

Electrically Operated Pressure Transmitters

Pressure transmitters can be used to control compressors, pumps, presses, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and air-pressured circuits.  The feedback provided can be useful for understanding the flow characteristics in specific parts of a fluid system.

Pressure switches are available for both industrial and sanitary applications with a variety of options including digital display and integration within a standard pressure gauge for both visual and digital pressure indication.
