Model 777 for Special Pumping Applications

The Model 777 Product Line includes a wide selection of options which are designed for a wide variety of applications. Model 777 products are UL listed, CSA recognized and CE approved. They combine overload, underload, and voltage and power monitoring functions in one package. They also provide a 3-digit display for viewing voltage, current, power and last fault information to simplify diagnostics.

The Model 777 units are designed to best handle loads ranging from 1-800A, provide linear trip capability, handle medium voltage applications, and provide underpower trip capability for special pumping applications.

Adding the optional RS485MS-2W communications module enables modbus RTU communications over an RS-485 bus. The Model 777 can then communicate with SymCom`s RM-1000 and RM-2000 remote displays as well as SymCom`s Solutions software running on an IBM compatible PC. The Model 777 can communicate with other Modbus master devices such as PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems, DCS systems and others.

Model 777-KW/HP Used with Fractional Horsepower Motors

777-KW/HP products should be used with all fractional horsepower motors when underload protection is needed, and with most motors under 3 hp. Also use KW/HP products when the motor is derated (Ex: Coal bed methane well with a 7.5hp submersible pump on a 10hp motor.) Other typical applications are mixer motors up to 50hp and beyond that run at less than 1800 rpm, magdrive pumps and can pumps. If in doubt, underpower can be used anytime in place of undercurrent protection. Settings can be either horsepower or kilowatts.

Model 777-MV for Medium Voltage Applications

The 777-MV is specifically designed for medium voltage applications where both PTs (potential transformers) and CTs (current transformers), are used. It has a 120-240V nominal voltage range, and built-in multipliers for 25:5, 50:5, 100:5, CTs. The voltage unbalance, single-phase and reverse-phase protection can be disabled to accommodate applications where only one PT is used.

Model 777-HVR used in 480V applications

The 777-HVR products are used in 480V applications when a CPT (control power transformer) is not used. The HVR products have a 380-480V range and a relay rated at 480VA @ 600VAC pilot duty, and are commonly used in pumping applications to save the cost and extra wiring associated with a CPT.

Model 777-FT –for Applications Requiring Fast Linear Trip

The 777-FT is intended for applications where a fast linear trip is required. It has an over current trip delay that can be set to less than 500 ms, to be used in applications where very short trip delays are needed to prevent chain drives and other drive linkages from breaking in an overload or jam situation. Often times it is referred to as a shock relay. Some applications include sewage clarifiers, mixers, augers and conveyors. The trip delay can be set to as much as 70 seconds, so it can also be used when a slower than normal trip is desired. A slower trip may be desired in certain applications such as motor test panels in a rewind shop.

Model 777-PH for Static and Rotary single to 3 Phase converters

The 777-PH Add-A-Phase is specially designed for use with static and rotary single to 3-phase converters. Voltage unbalance protection is disabled and the high and low voltage trip features apply only to one phase L1-L2. This allows the 777 to ignore the severely unbalanced voltages that are inherent to unloaded phase converters.

Model 777-TS to Detect High motor Pressure

The 777-TS is specifically designed for use with a Subtrol®-equipped Franklin submersible motor to detect high motor temperatures.

Model 777-AccuPower for Accurate Calculation and display of motor output

The 777-AccuPower allows motor hp rating, full load amps, efficiency, and power factor to be entered and will accurately calculate and display motor output power. The 777-AccuPower can be used with SymCom`s 4-20mA output module to give an analog signal proportional to this output power.

A second communication port is standard and allows monitoring and control of up to 99 RM-2000 devices from a PLC, DCS, or SCADA system or a PC with Solutions software installed. The RM-2000 is environmentally protected and is easily mounted on the front of a panel or MCC.

Model RM-2000 CBM Optimizes Gas Production from Coal Bed Methane Walls

The RM-2000 CBM (Coal Bed Methane) Special/777 combination optimizes gas production from coal bed methane wells while protecting the submersible pump. The 777 provides unmatched pump protection while the RM-2000 CBM Special cycles the pump based on pressure measurements from one or two 4-20mA pressure transducers. The first transducer measures down-hole pressure while an optional second transducer can be used to measure annulus pressure (gas pressure). The second transducer corrects head measurements caused by high annulus pressure. The pump is started when the maximum head setpoint is crossed and stopped when the minimum head setpoint is crossed. The feet-of-head is displayed in real time with the turn-on and turn-off head setpoints. This system is compatible with a wide range of 4-20mA pressure transducers. A built-in, rapid-cycle timer prevents overcycling the pump if the water level recovers too quickly. The rapid-cycle timer can be used to delay pump starts on wells with high annulus pressure when the annulus transducer is not used. A real-time display shows the remaining time before the pump can automatically restart.

Model LS-524 – Self Powered Load Sensor

The Model LS-524 is a self-powered load sensor with a solid-state output. It uses a 20-turn potentiometer (pot) to adjust the pull-in current from 2-100A. The 20-turn pot allows fine tuning of the setpoint. The Model LS-524 can also be used as a simple low-cost proof relay for PLCs or other electronic controllers.

Model LSR – Versatile Sensor

These load sensors use current levels to determine feed rates, tool wear, loss of prime on pumps, mixer viscosity, and all types of overload and underload conditions. They may also be used to stage pump motors, chillers, and other machinery. These devices combine a current transformer (CT) with Form C (SPDT) relay contacts to switch alarm circuits, contactors, or any resistive or inductive load. One simple screwdriver adjustment will calibrate the sensor for all single-phase or 3-phase applications up to 100hp.
