Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) and Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) treatment generally requires compact high-performance installations able to reach full capacity rapidly during storm events. These systems must accommodate a wide range of flowrates including unusual high peak levels with large variations in BOD and TSS loadings. The system combines optimized flocculation, internal and external solids recirculation, thickening in two conjoined vessels to maximize hydraulic loading and treatment efficiencies.
