Pure Water Solutions, a water treatment company based here, announced in a June 30 press release the acquisition of the service exchange deionization business of Hydrotreat, Inc. of Houston, TX.

The company said in the press release, “While we have been meeting the high-purity water treatment needs of our customers across the Southeast since 1983, we have only recently entered the Houston market. With this strategic move, Pure Water Solutions adds additional staff with significant experience and a much larger customer base to support continued, rapid growth in Texas.”

Hydrotreat, which was formed in 1973, has been developing new technologies for high-purity water applications, wastewater applications, and both water- and nonwater-based process applications, according to the Pure Water Solutions press release.
