Mr. Hargis' career has been dedicated to the innovation,design,development and implementation of GIS, automated mapping and facilities management technologies for more than 200 utility companies and local governments. Jim founded Hargis LLC to apply the newest mobile and handheld technologies to automate field force operations for utilities and local governments.

Mr. Hargis' expertise includes: automation project management, mobile GIS, cost-benefit and feasibility studies, management consulting, strategic planning, business process engineering, I.T. strategic planning, systems development methodologies, RFP specifications, vendor evaluation and negotiation, system integration, software requirements, database design and development, product research design development, field data acquisition, document imaging systems, surveying, photogrammetry, automated map data conversion, and project management. Mr. Hargis' GIS implementation and development experience includes various ESRI products, Intergraph FRAMME, GENS/Smallworld, Autodesk, Vision, IBM and others. Mr. Hargis developed and patented technology for automated map generation from databases.
