Amiad, a producer and global supplier of water filters and filtration systems for the industrial & municipal and the irrigation markets, is presenting the Micro Fiber Technology, Automatic Micro Fiber (AMF) line of products, at Japan’s City Water Exhibition, being held on 16 to 19 October 2006.
Amiad’s distributor in Japan, Altech Alt Co. is presenting the AMF filters at the exhibition.
Following the on-site test in Hofu city, Japan, the Micro Fiber technology was approved by the Japan Water Research Center (JWRC) as the first non-membrane filtration type, tap water purification equipment, capable of removing Cryptosporidium.
The AMF thread filter is made up of 2 micron cassettes, with layers of extremely fine fiber strings wound round them.
