LINK-PIPE PRESSURE-SEAL- PRESSURE PIPES
Link-Pipe Pressure-Seal™ is an internal repair sleeve designed for pressure pipe joint and pinholes repair. Link-Pipe Pressure-Seal seals pressure pipe joints and pinholes with ultimate pressure up to 150 psi. (10 bar).
The sleeve core is made of stainless steel SST-316 with internal locking mechanism. Outside gasket is saturated with sealant that is mechanically pressed against the host pipe when sleeve is expanded and locked in place. The sealant is ambient temperature cured and seals the sleeve in place creating a mechanical bond by filling surface roughness as well as chemical adhesion, thus sealing the joints and pinholes.
Pressure-Seal™ Sleeves are available in diameters ranging from 4" (100mm) to 54" (1350mm) with standard lengths of 12" (300mm), 18" (450mm), 24" (600mm) and 36" (900mm)
Application:
- Pressure-Seal™ provides long-term seal of leaks using mechanically locked stainless steel combined with resin sealer.
- Pressure-Seal™ seals leaking, separated, misaligned and offset joints and pinholes in pressure pipes with ultimate pressure up to 150 psi. (10 bar).
- Customized Pressure-Seal™ can seal leaking pipes with operational temperature up to 200°F (93°C).
Standard Pressure-Seal™ is made of stainless steel expandable core covered with sealing material. Sleeves are equipped with Ratchet Lock mechanism to accommodate dimensional tolerances of the host pipe up to +/- 1/2-inch.Pressure-Seal™ is designed for sealing pressure pipes and it is uniquely suitable for old cast iron mains that have unpredictable variations in manufacturing tolerances, -roundness and -joint offsets to which the sleeve will conform. Pressure-Seal™ comes supplied with all required ingredients for complete repair.
INDUSTRIAL PIPES
Industrial pipe repair applications use advanced information provided by metallurgical and resin chemistry suppliers.Sleeves are often made of special steel alloys customized to fit the encountered industrial process environment.
Link-Pipe Inc. has supplied to Industry repair sleeves made of Titanium T-2 Sleeves for high acidity and temperature environment, Hastelloy C-22 Steel Sleeve for moderate acidity and Standard Stainless Steel SST-316 Grouting Sleeves.
Usually these sleeves have the selected alloy core structurally designed to AWWA M11 standard for flexible tunnel liners. The diameter range is 4” to 54”.The sleeves have tapered ends to provide a tight seal against the host pipe and a smooth transition from the wall of the host pipe into the sleeve.
With materials deliberately chosen to withstand the attack from the owner specified chemicals, the Industrial repair sleeves restore the damaged pipe to acceptable service life. The sleeve material is chosen in co-operation with the owner’s engineering consultant.
Quality control on primary materials, takes place in the steel mills and chemical supply houses. ASTM and CSA standards are followed and Mill-test Reports are provided for each manufactured batch of material. During the Sleeve manufacturing, Link-Pipe factory specific standards are followed. Factor of safety of 2.5 to 3 is applied when safe superimposed load is determined.
Link-Pipe repair technology is known to reduce drastically the process interruption as many installations are carried out while pipes remain in service.
