HYDRO-SEAL- WATER MAIN REPAIR SLEEVE
Hydro-Seal™ is an internal repair method; designed for joint rehabilitation of water mains, repair of pin-holes, cracks and areas of corrosion. Hydro-Seal™ is tested up to withstand 560 psi. (37 bar) ultimate pressure over a 3/8-inch (10mm) wide-open joint.
The sleeve core is made of stainless steel SST-316 with internal locking mechanism. Outside gasket is saturated with resin that is mechanically pressed against the host pipe when sleeve is expanded and locked in place. The resin is ambient temperature cured and seals the sleeve in place and mechanically bonds to the host pipe, thus sealing the joints, pinholes and cracks in the pipe.
In a built-up city, any excavation through existing surface and underground structures becomes not only very costly, but also very disruptive to social activities. Link-Pipe technology is designed to offer the liberty of choosing most suitable locations for excavated entry if needed and in case of water mains; valve chambers offer excellent predetermined access points. By temporarily removing the valves, necessary access becomes available.
Hydro-Seal™ Sleeves are available in diameters ranging from 4" (100mm) to 54" (1350mm) with standard lengths of 12" (300mm), 18" (450mm), 24" (600mm) and 36" (900mm)
The Use of Hydro-Seal™ Sleeve
Hydro-Seal™ provides long-term seal of leaks using mechanically locked stainless steel sleeves and aquatic resin sealers.
- Seals leaking, separated, misaligned and offset joints (ask Link-Pipe for additional information)
- Seals pinholes
Hydro-Seal™: The standard sleeve consists of:
- Stainless steel core
- Sleeves in diameters 4"-24" can also be supplied with Ratchet Lock mechanism.
- The Ratchet Lock mechanism was designed for the purpose of creating dimensional compatibility in host pipe.
- Old cast iron mains may have unpredictable variations in manufacturing tolerances, roundness and joint offsets to which the sleeve must conform.
- Sleeves Dia. 25"-54" come designed with single fixed diameters allowing customization at time of ordering if requested by the customer.
- Gasket saturated with Resin.
- Backing
- O-rings
LINK-PIPE PVC SLEEVE- COLLECTOR MAIN REPAIR SLEEVE
LINK-PIPE® PVC Sleeve is engineered structural repair system for large diameter round, tear-drop, horse-shoe and oval pipes ranging from 36" (900mm) to 108" (2800mm)
- Dewatering is not usually required for LINK-PIPE® installation.
- LINK-PIPE® offers a cost-effective re-line equivalent repair if used only over damaged pipe sections. Restoring the original structural design strength to concrete, vitrified clay, or similar pipes.
- Laterals may be tapped through the LINK-PIPE® sleeve using ordinary woodworking tools.
- LINK-PIPE® is recommended in emergency situations when rapid response is essential.
- LINK-PIPE® carries a Manufacture 10-year Limited Warranty and the PVC material is selected to give the repair a 100-year service life.
The Use of LINK-PIPE® PVC Sleeve
- Repairs
- Longitudinal cracks
- Circumferential cracks
- Multiple cracks
- Broken pipes
- Laterals
- Closes holes
- Other Applications
- Reinstates partially collapsed pipes
- Recreates a totally collapsed or missing pipe
- Recreates continuity over separated joints
- Accommodates misaligned and offset joints
- Seals infiltration of gravity flow pipes
- Seals ex-filtration of gravity flow pipes
- Seals abandoned services
- Retards root growth
- Repairs sewer pipe without closing service laterals
Structural Repair
Standard sleeves are designed for normal loading conditions of 10-psi.extrnally applied hydraulic pressures. Custom designed sleeves can be ordered for higher loading condition
Joint Sealing
This sleeve is specially designed for internally sealing large diameter pipe joints against high-pressure ground water infiltration.
Continuous Re-Lining
Sometimes the damage extends over a large area of the pipe. In this case re-lining may become desirable and LINK-PIPE® can be specified. If applied over the entire length of the pipe, a very durable and chemically resistant liner is created, offering a high degree of reliability and strength.
Restoration of Laterals
Laterals are restored by simply cutting at the lateral a hole into main-line sleeve and inserting a Link-Pipe GROUTING SLEEVE™ or an appropriate length of small diameter PVC pipe into the lateral. LINK-PIPE® PVC sleeves can be always cut by woodworking tools.
GAS SEALER SLEEVE- GAS MAIN REPAIR SLEEVE
Gas Sealer Sleeve™ provides long-term seal of leaks in 4" to 54" diameter gas mains. The sleeves are installed internally covering joints, cracks and areas of corrosion.
The sleeve core is made of stainless steel SST-316 with internal ratchet locking mechanism. Outside gasket is saturated with resin and mechanically pressed against the host pipe when sleeve is expanded until it locks in place. The resin is ambient temperature cured epoxy resin that seals the sleeve in place and mechanically bonds to the host pipe, thus sealing the joints and pinholes
Benefits of Link-Pipe Gas Sealer™ Sleeve System:
- Reduce capital costs
- Eliminate or postpone pipe replacements
- Strengthen pipe wall in areas weakened by corrosion
- Avoid traffic disruptions damage to customer property
- Increase safety
- Help meet allowable supply disruption constraints set out in service contracts. (Up to 46 joints have been repaired with the supply back in service within 8 hours)
The Use of Gas Sealer™ Sleeve:
- Cast Iron (low (0.25-0.5 psi) and medium (15 psi) pressures)
- Spot repair using expandable stainless steel sleeves with sealant.
- Seals, joints, cracks, abandoned mains/services
- Applicable to pipes from 4" (100mm) to 54" (1350mm)
- Steel (high pressure up to 150 psi)
- Area repair with multiple sleeves of varying lengths
- Seals welds, flanged joints, and couplings
- Applicable to pipes from 4" (100mm) to 54" (1350mm)
Gas Sealer™ Sleeve in standard form is made of Stainless steel core covered with sealing material.
Sleeves are equipped with Ratchet Lock mechanism. The Ratchet Lock mechanism offers dimensional compatibility to meet host pipe tolerances. Old cast iron mains may have unpredictable variations in manufacturing tolerances, roundness and joint offsets to which the sleeve must conform.
