Biography

Jim Vanden Brook has managed the Water Quality Protection program for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection since 1992. Jim is responsible for the development of state-wide pesticide management plans and regulations like Wisconsin's atrazine rule and department’s Nutrient Management program. His section is responsible for minimising the occurrence of agricultural chemicals in groundwater and surface water. Jim oversees monitoring efforts related to agricultural chemical use including state-wide monitoring well projects, private drinking water well studies, and surface water studies.
