Sterling Fluid Systems are proud to announce they have been awarded 'Manufacturer of the Year' at the Pump Industry Awards 2007
This award underlines the Sihi commitment to provide a consistently high level of service to its customers, to satisfy their requirements and exceed their expectations. The Pump Industry Awards are designed to endorse best practice and most proficient operation within the UK pump industry, in the areas of supply and manufacture.
The award ceremony was a hugely successful night, with over GBP3000 being raised for the BPMA (British Pump Manufacturer's Association) chosen charity in a Grand Raffle.
'With a focused commitment to provide complete pumping solutions, this award illustrates our recognition throughout industry', commented Shaun Hampson, of Sterling Fluid Systems: 'Offering innovative technologies, 'state-of-the-art' manufacturing capabilities, emergency pump repairs and tailor-made service contracts, Sterling Fluid Systems continues to remain a world leading pump manufacturer'.
Sterling Fluid Systems is a world leader in the pumping of liquids and gases.

The company's innovative technologies include such products as the award winning SIHIdry running vacuum pump for its positive contribution to the environment, plus the new liquid ring vacuum pump with its modular design reduced spares inventory while cutting life-cycle costs.
In order to ensure the highest level of customer service, Sterling Fluid Systems organises its focal customers into divisional industry sectors.
Thus enabling these customers to get the right level of focus they deserve.
Sterling Fluid Systems can offer training programmes free of charge for customers so that they can realise the full potential of the company's products in order to meet their processes.
Sterling has two manufacturing plants in Germany, one in Spain, one in France, one in America and one in Canada.
The factory in Itzehoe, Germany, has recently invested in a new 'state-of-the-art' 2Meuro CNC machine.
This one machine replaces six conventional machines.
Its 'done-in-one principal', through its multi axis integrated turning, reduces manufacturing times.
Eliminating the set up procedure per machine operation also gives excellent quality finished components via its 'as-is' geometry from raw castings through to finished components.
The two manufacturing facilities in Germany have recently had multi-million Euros investment in each plant.
The test department in Ludwigshafen offers capabilities for large pumps of up to 4000KW.
This is the second largest in Europe, with flow rates up to 95000m3/h and pressures up to 250 bar.
In addition to our manufacturing facilities we also have our own foundry in Sheffield.
With two new two-tonne furnaces, the foundry specialises in nickel based alloys used for handling all types of arduous liquids.
Importantly, materials can be tailored to particular industrial environments in order to protect against all types of corrosion and erosion.
Comments from some Sterling customerswere as follows: 'We are a precious metals processing company who...[have]...tried other vacuum technologies, but found them to be unable to cope with our tough process conditions...Together with the Sterling technical expertise, the SIHIdry and their service we have received has greatly benefited our production processes...and low life cycle cost'. |
