Visit Booth #301

Dow Water Solutions, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company and global leader in water purification, seawater desalination, contamination removal and water reuse solutions, will showcase its latest key components at booth #301 during the American Water Works Association’s Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE08) at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, June 8-12, 2008.

Highlighted products include:

- ADSORBSIA™ GTO™ media - A titanium-based arsenic removal media that provides an effective and cost-efficient option for reducing the levels of arsenic in drinking water in order to help municipalities meet the 2006 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

- DOW™ Ultrafiltration (UF) - A pressure-driven membrane separation process that removes particulate matter, bacteria and most viruses and colloids from treated water. For use in RO pretreatment, as well as water re-use and drinking water applications.

- DOW™ Electrodeionization (EDI) - A chemical-free separation process that combines electrodialysis and conventional ion exchange, based on a patented spiral-wound membrane. Extensively used in combination with reverse osmosis where high-purity water is critical, including the power generation industry.

- FILMTEC™ Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Nanofiltration elements - Based on proven FT30, thin-film composite polyamide membrane technology, and manufactured through a precise automated fabrication process to have the highest active area possible allowing for increased throughput while reducing energy consumption. In both 8-inch and 16-inch diameter modules.

- DOWEX™ Ion Exchange resins - “Chemical sponges” for effective removal of contaminants, such as fluoride, mercury, iodine, from liquids in water treatment applications.
