Flow Control Weir models clean oils, foams and other floating materials from water services. These non-selective, high volume skimmers will attract the liquid surface from a 360° radius for complete product removal. The flow control weir skimmer is a versatile water management tool. The flow control design supports weir configurations which can produce customs skims for problem materials. At the entrance to the skimmer sump, a floating weir creates a small waterfall produces the skimming effect. The weir adjusts itself to the proper depth for the flow of the pump. The weir can be set by controlling the volume of the pump makes the skim-pak extremely effective and simple to operate and can be connected to a variety of pump types or can be gravity drained.
Fixed Weir skimmers remove surface product only without disturbing underlying liquid. Oil accumulations of any quality are continually removed. Oil from a closed tank does not have to be a guessing game; the skim-pak floats on the liquid surface removing oil that has accumulated. The fixed weir skim-pak works on the principal of specific gravity. The skim-pak floats at the water level through out the changing tank levels. As oil accumulates, it will fall into the sump. As the sump fills with oil the weight of the skim-pak increases and lowers the skimmer, causing more oil to evacuate. The skimmer will continually remove oil accumulation above a predetermined cap of oil and it will never recover underlying water.
