Our line of pumps are known as low pressure, medium head, high volume pumps. The ability of our pumps to handle very heavy solids is the key to the GAPD line of hydraulic submersible pumps. Our customers state, "When no other pump can handle the job, the "old" H&H line of pumps are the pumps to count on." GAPD offers cast pumps from 3" to 8" discharge diameter, and fabricated pumps 4" to 16" discharge diameter. All other pumps manufactured by GAPD are fabricated pumps making our pumps some of the most light weight pumps in the marketplace, resulting in easier deployment and relocation. Our fabricated pumps ranging from 4" to 16" can be outfitted with either grease or oil lubricated bearing blocks, as well as a standard (five vein impeller, for moving lighter materials), or our three vane semi-opened face (ragball impeller) for moving heavier materials and solids. Weld hardened impellers and pump cases are available upon request as well as our dredge ragball impeller for use on our maintenance class dredge line. Gulf Atlantic Pump & Dredge, LLC manufactures diesel hydraulic power units to each of our customer's needs. Each power unit is specifically engineered and designed for the pumps required by the specific customer; additional options can be placed on the power unit with minimal effort. Power Units are skid or trailer mounted maintaining a fuel cell for 24 hour operation. Hydraulic systems are engineered to meet and or exceed hydraulic motor requirements on each submersible pump manufactured. All hoses and fitting on our power units are manufactured by Parker Hannifin which allows customers to find replacement parts throughout the world. Systems controls are supplied by FW Murphy or LOFA. Hydraulic systems are engineered to meet and or exceed hydraulic motor requirements on each submersible pump manufactured. All hoses and fitting on our power units are manufactured by Parker Hannifin which allows customers to find replacement parts throughout the world. Systems controls are supplied by FW Murphy or LOFA.
Power Units Line
Hydraulic System
Suction strainer, return filters, relief valves, low oil shutdown, and temperature shutdown protect the hydraulic system. All units are equipped to allow any and all modifications or repairs with minimal oil loss.
All units have bottom mounted fuel tank, which provides a lower center of gravity for more stability and larger fuel capacities. The submersible pumps or tooling being used can run dry, stall, or jam, without damaging the power unit. System requires no other power source allowing operation in remote areas. The axle, fenders, and tongue can easily be removed to produce a skid mounted unit. Single point lifting bail allows easy mobilization for skid or trailer mounted units.

Gulf Atlantic Pump & Dredge, LLC continues to manufacturer and improve upon the H&H line of maintenance class dredges. The "MUDLOADER" line of dredges has a long history of service for lagoon, canal, and industrial dredging services. Pontoons are coated using a Bar Rust 235 two part epoxy primer, with a DEVTHANE epoxy finish coat, followed by a Cold Tar epoxy coating applied to all submersed areas. Cutterhead: GAPD currently manufacturers heavy weight cutterheads which are 24" in diameter with 1/4" flyting for mounting Ditch Witch cutting teeth. The cutterhead is powered by a POCLAIN direct drive hydraulic motor producing 16,000 in/lbs of torque along the cutting surface. Controls: GAPD has implemented an electro/hydraulic joystick control system for operation, resulting in an easier platform for operation. This system is also backed up by a secondary manual valve bank located on the power unit skid, resulting in limited down time if joystick controls every fail. Options Offered Traverse Systems Offered: GAPD currently places our windlass winch traverse system on all dredges manufactured; however three and four winch traverse systems are available upon customer request. These dredges are very useful and very productive in very tight areas, such as small marinas and tributaries where overall draft is a problem. This line of dredge is also used on lagoons where EPA requirements limit the access to personnel due to materials contained within the body of water.
