Our wide range of separation technologies means we can select the most appropriate clarifier or filter system for any given application. Our technologies include the most advanced clarifiers offered on the market. We sell systems for the removal of particulates, small colloidal materials, solids precipitated as a result of chemical treatment, and polishing.

Industries, also benefit from our diverse solutions, including physical-chemical treatment, packed-bed demineralization, ion exchange, reverse osmosis, and aerobic/anaerobic biological systems.

Membrane

The Ultrafiltration membranes bring today new solutions to the water specialists, according to the case of application. Indeed, the membranes allow reducing the die in term of stages and permit to make reliable the treatment in term of quality but especially to improve the effectiveness.

Degrémont Technologies-Aquasource, a French major and historic figure in Ultrafiltration, offers its products and services to builders and water treatment distributors in both municipal and industrial spheres.

Disinfection: UV

Ultraviolet (UV) disinfection is environmentally safe and recognized as effective for a wide range of pathogens, including viruses. For more than 20 years, the AQUARAY® UV disinfection systems have offered proven disinfection alternatives to protect the environment from toxic byproducts formed when hazardous chemicals, like chlorine, combine with organic compounds in receiving waters.

Degrémont Technologies-Ozonia has developed UV products for three different markets: Municipal Wastewater, Municipal Drinking Water, and Industry.

Disinfection: Ozone

Ozone was first used by municipalities to improve the organic qualities of water with control of taste, odor and color as well as for its germicidal action. Application of ozone in waste water treatment includes the destruction or removal of: complex organic molecules, cyanides and phenols from chemical waste, etc. In addition, subjecting municipal waste waters or combined municipal waste waters or combined municipal industrial waste waters to a final ozone process enables reuse for applications such as wash-water, irrigation, or fire fighting systems.

Ozone is also used extensively in industry in oxidation processes and for disinfection purposes. Typical industrial examples are in the P&P industry for pulp bleaching, chemical industry where ozonolysis is necessary for the production of certain substances, and in cooling-tower systems where ozone replaces the less desirable chemical biocides.

Disinfection: Leisure

Triogen is one of the world’s leading design and manufacturing companies specializing in ozone and UV systems for all types of swimming pool applications as well as industrial water treatment.

The company has over twenty years experience in pool water treatment and is recognized as a quality product supplier offering full after sales service as well as worldwide commissioning and servicing.

MARKET

Municipal

Drinking Water

Making water drinkable, whatever the initial quality of the resource (groundwater, borehole water, brackish water or seawater), is Degrémont Technologies’ specialty.

A vast array of techniques is employed, ranging from ozonization to the removal of mineral and organic microcontaminants.

Degremont Technologies provides solutions for any size customer population and virtually any influent condition. Our proven water treatment technologies include high rate clarification, filtration, biological treatment, and disinfection for DW applications.

Wastewater

Degremont Technologies looks at the entire treatment line and finds ways to control pollution efficiently and economically. We handle primary, secondary, wastewater reuse, and stormwater management applications. Our wastewater technologies include headworks, clarification, biological, biosolids and disinfection products. It is obviously imperative that facilities remain compact and that the pollution they produce is controlled.

CSO/SSO Treatment

Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO) is a discharge of a mixture of storm water and untreated domestic wastewater that occurs when the flow capacity of a sewer system is exceeded during a rainstorm. CSOs are excess flows from a combined sewer system that are discharged into receiving water without being treated.

Industrial

Chemical Industry

The chemical industry is extremely diversified and typically separated into the following major groups: petrochemicals, inorganic chemistry, specialty chemicals, and fine chemicals.

Food & Beverage

Food water industry: a large water user

Most bottling companies rely on the use of ozone to meet these ever-increasing legislative and consumer quality demands. There are three main applications for ozone in the bottling industry including the ozonation of the wash water used to clean the bottles prior to filling, ozonation of the actual bottling water and ozone for Clean In Place (CIP) system sanitation. Experience has indicated that a small dose of ozone from a high concentration ozone monitor in the region of 0.3 mg/l to 0.5 mg/l is sufficient to sanitize the product and the product packaging.

Oil & Gas

Extraction of oil & gas from the ground or under the sea needs water:

- Need for mechanical separation equipment in the manufacture and recycling for drilling mud, and in the separation of oil from water at the wellhead.
- Warm lime softener, gravity filters, weak acid cation exchange units are the main equipments for the extraction process.

Power Generation

Power generation industries convert other forms of energy (waterpower, fossil fuels, nuclear power and solar power) into electrical energy.

There is a large demand for water treatment products for power plant application worldwide. Most of this market is associated with conventional power plant water treatment processes such as physical filtration, clarification and chemical conditioning. Demand for ultra pure water treatment technologies for power plant application worldwide:

- Most of this market is associated with membrane filtration, ion exchange, EDI, ozone and UV.

Pulp & Paper, Wood

Processing of wood into pulp, and the conversion of that pulp into paper, use vast quantities of water:

- Need of considerable amount of water treatment equipment
- Manufacture of paper is a filtration operation

Bleaching:

Ozone is considered, from an ecological point of view, to be the best candidate for the bleaching of pulp, in replacement for chlorine, in a combination-competition approach with other bleaching chemicals, such as Chlorine Dioxide, Hydrogen Peroxide and per-Acetic Acid.

Pharma/Cosmetics

Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic manufacturers use water for:

- Process operations
- For other non-process purposes

The water being used in the process must be of a certain quality: Aside from disinfection, UV and RO membranes are widely used as advanced treatment

Electronics

Production of electronic and electrical materials requires an exceedingly clean environment, the two main duties of importance are:

- The cleaning of inlet air to the working spaces and fabrication areas to a high standard of freedom from dust;
- The preparation of ultra-pure water for component washing and other duties.

Aquaculture

Ozone and/or Ultra Violet (UV) disinfection can play important roles in the prevention and elimination of fish diseases in aquaculture systems. Ozone, a powerful oxidizing agent disinfects and oxidises organic pollutants while increasing the water’s dissolved oxygen level. The end result is exceptional water quality, which is a fundamental requirement for intensive fish farming.

Ozonia has extensive experience in the aquaculture industry with numerous hatchery and fish farming installations worldwide.

Leisure

Pools

Ozone and UV are very effective alternatives to chlorine and other chemicals as a disinfection agent in swimming pools. Ozone and UV can safely prevent the formation of chlorine byproducts, such as chloramines and trihalomethanes.

Triogen has over twenty years experience in the design and implementation of large ozone generators & UV disinfection equipment and can assist fully in their integration into the overall water treatment system to ensure that the advantages of using ozone or UV are maximized.

Spas

The water purification systems shown below are most commonly used on commercial hotel or club spas, all of which will give superior water quality and improved atmospheric conditions.

Triogen can assist in advising which system would be the most suitable for any specific application.

Aquariums

Large municipal aquariums and zoos disinfect water with ozone to protect the different species in their care from infection due to water borne virus and disease.

Ozonia has designed and supplied systems to treat water flow rates from as little as 6 gallons per minute (1.3 m3/h) to entire municipal aquariums with an assortment of fish, mammals and reptiles.
