Y-STRAINERS
Colonial Y-Strainers are suitable for flow rates of up to 150 gpm, and can be installed either vertically or horizontally. Y-Strainers are usually sized so that their start up pressure drop is no greater than 2 psi, with a line velocity not to exceed 8 fps.
MULTI-PORT BALL VALVE
Colonial Multi-Port valves are used to either divert or split flow between two different lines or tanks. Available in a range of materials for various applications.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
100% thermoplastic design eliminates process or atmospheric corrosion.
Tri- union design permits easy removal and replacement.
180o handle operation.
“L” port design with fluid flow control options: left, center or right.
1/4” LABORATORY BALL VALVES
Laboratory ball valves are used in laboratories and in other applications that require sampling and monitoring. Colonial’s laboratory ball valves are available in a variety of styles: hose barb and male/female NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads.
311N SERIES BUTTERFLY VALVE
Colonial 311N Series Butterfly valves are ideal for use as throttling valves.
With the 10-position index plate, it is easy to repeat consistent flow conditions. Compact in design, this valve is used when space is at a premium. Like the True Union, this valve is ideally suited for the most demanding industrial, commercial, agricultural and turf irrigation environments.

Easily converted to foot valve with installation of PVC strainer kit.
-
Single union design permits removal of valve body for service.
-
Easily reparable.
FOOT VALVE STRAINER KITS
Foot Valve strainer kit available 1/2” - 2” in PVC. Replaces the union end of the Single Union ball check valve. Valve sold separately.
TRUE UNION BALL CHECK VALVE
FEATURES & BENEFITS
The True Union design provides easy access for in-line installation and servicing. The True Union ball check valve is designed for quick, positive sealing with minimal turbulence, low restriction, and efficient fluid transfer. Ball check valves prevent backflow in piping systems. They are installed to protect pumps, filters and other process equipment from damage. They are also effective at preventing liquid storage tanks from unwanted drain down. Used in a variety of industrial and chemical processing applications, True Union ball check valve is available in 1/2 through 2" sizes with socket and FIPT end connectors.
SPRING CHECK VALVE
Spring Check valves are used to prevent backflow and siphoning. The 1/2 lb. SS spring maintains a positive seal even when no backpressure is present. Suggested applications of Spring Check valves: pool/spa assemblies and installations, potable water systems.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
-
2-psi minimum flow pressure required to open valve
-
Pressure rating: 150 psi, non-shock water at 73o F
-
Flow direction indicator molded into body for accurate installation
-
304 SS spring for corrosion resistance
-
1/2 - 2'' socket (solvent weld) end connections
-
Corrosion resistance PVC body with EPDM seal
-
Low-cost operation
SWING CHECK VALVES
1/2 - 2'' White Swing Checks
For use in irrigation, swimming pool, and commercial plumbing applications to prevent backflow. The open position allows for unobstructed continuous flow with minimal head loss, making it a favorable choice for sump pump disposal lines, sewage lift stations, and waste water lines. Swing check valves are designed for horizontal installation, but can be installed vertically with flow going upward. All check valves must be installed with the flowarrow pointing in the direction of the flow of the system. Swing check valves must NOT be installed upside-down. The flow velocity should not exceed 5 ft./second.
Features and Benefits
-
Thermoplastic design eliminates process and atmospheric corrosion.
-
Pressure rated up to 150 psi in full flow (open) position, and 75 psi in the closed position (non-shock water at 73º F).
-
High-impact PVC Type II Material
2-1/2, 3 & 4'' Gray Swing Checks
