Synopsis

Centrifugal separators are very effective at removing particles larger then (40) forty microns that have a high specific gravity greater then 2.6. Good design engineering and application practices need to be applied when a filtration system is selected for cooling water loops. The need to separate solids and liquids from each other is directly linked to practically every commercial and industrial water process. Corrosion by-products, calcium based scale, dissolved iron, dissolved manganese, oil & grease, organics, mud, clay, silt and bio fouling challenges the operational efficiency of all cooling water systems.
