For over 25 years, Bosworth Company, a USA manufacturer, has combined innovative design with quality production engineering to bring to market a family of highly reliable, competitively priced pumps and diverter valves. Our top-of-the-line products are used for a variety of applications in the marine, sanitation, and industrial markets.
The Bosworth Guzzler® hand and foot pumps are used extensively as on-board bilge pumps in the boating industry, for flushing and water delivery systems in the portable sanitation market and for a wide variety of applications in the industrial market. Our Sea-lect® Y Valves are the first true Y Valves with a full port opening. Their ability to stand up to the rugged demands of saltwater environments makes Sea-Lect the Y valve of choice in the boating industry.
Our products come in a broad range of options and configurations to address your particular design and installation requirements. Additionally, we offer a full line of popular pump and valve accessories to help put our products to work for your fluid transfer needs.
Bosworth Company has earned ISO-9000:2001 certification. Our series 400 and 500 hand pumps are also certified under ISO-15083 for acceptance in the European common market. Throughout our history, we have placed the highest emphasis on customer satisfaction. We are committed to working with our customers to ensure they have the product and support they need to be successful.
No other manual pump can match the Guzzler in its variety of configuration options. The Guzzler body styles feature the inlet and outlet ports on opposite sides of the body, the same side of the body or extending from the base of the pump body. Our pumps can be configured as hand-operated, foot-pedal operated or foot-plunger operated, and are even available with optional motor-drives. Hand-operated pumps come with a choice of a removable vertically or horizontally mounted handle. Foot pumps feature our standard or light-weight stainless steel springs. All pumps are self-priming, and Guzzler hand pumps are capable of delivering a minimum 12 ft. suction lift and a 12 ft. delivery head. Pump ejection volume performance ranges from 8 to 25 gallons per minute, depending on model.
The Guzzler pumps can be surface mounted or are available either with a flush-mounting ring or a thru-deck mounting kit. In the latter cases, only the handle and an attractive end plate or cover is visible to the operator.
Pumps are offered in lightweight yet rugged Delrin plastic, or epoxy-coated aluminum or bronze. Guzzler diaphragms and valves can be manufactured from neoprene, viton, Buna-N, EPDM, urethane or silicon. Through these combinations of options, we can offer pumps that are corrosion resistant, and impervious to most fuel oils and detergents. Many of these pump configurations have been developed to meet our customers’ specific needs for strength and chemical resistance.
A variety of valve choices are available for the pumps, including flapper valves, duckbill valves or umbrella valves. This range of valve choices allows pumps to be mounted horizontally or vertically without the risk of fluid leaks or gravity-drawn seepage past valves. Inlet/outlet port sizes include ½”, ¾”, 1”, 1 1/8”, 1 ¼”, 1 ½” and 2”. Inlet and outlet flanges are available with hose, barbed, threaded, tapped and quick disconnect connections.
And if you can’t find the pump configuration that exactly fits your needs, Bosworth Company can customize one of its many pump products to fit your requirements.
Sea-Lect Y Valves
Our line of Sea-lect Y Valves (also known as diverter valves) are the first true Y valve with full port opening and the only valve to offer a wide selection of options to help make your installation quick and trouble-free. Our Y Valves are made from durable Delrin plastic, and are outfitted with a sturdy epoxy-coated aluminum handle for lifelong operation.
Our Y Valves can be either free-standing, base mounted or available with an attractive flush mounting plate that hides the plumbing from view. Y Valve ports can be configured with smooth ends or with barbed, tapped or threaded ends. We offer Y Valve end connections in ½”, ¾”, 1” and 1 ½” sizes. And if you can’t find exactly what you need, call us and we’ll quote on providing you exactly the right dimensions and end-connections for your application.
Bosworth Company offers a broad line of accessories for both its pump and valve family of products. Sea-Lect foot/check valves attach to the intake hose to keep your pump primed, increasing lift capabilities and preventing backflow. Pump accessories include strainers to keep debris from the pump intake ports. We offer a line of non-collapsing wire-reinforced vinyl hose, along with hose end cuffs for a neat and safe connection. Adjustable band clamps can be ordered with your pump and hose to secure hose to smooth-end fittings. Vented loops are available for installation in the discharge line of water/waste treatment systems to prevent back-siphoning in marine and other sanitation devices. We also supply a range of adapters including a variety of types of cam & groove fittings, as well as barbed fitting adapters, both straight through and 90° elbows. And finally, service kits containing replacement valves and diaphragms are available for all Guzzler pumps.
Over the past quarter century, the Bosworth, Guzzler and Sea-Lect names have become synonymous with quality, dependability and affordability. Whether you’re an original equipment manufacturer looking for best-of-breed components for your product or an individual who needs a well-designed, dependable pump or diverter valve, you’ll find what you need at Bosworth. Bosworth Company products are sold directly in addition to being available through a variety of marine and industrial supply houses.
