Decentralized Wastewater Management Systems and Waste Water Treatment for Residential, Commercial, Institutional and Municipal Markets

Aquapoint is a comprehensive wastewater treatment company focused on markets for small and decentralized wastewater management systems. We are specifically structured to work with corporate and consulting engineers as well as other professionals whose private and public sector clients require advanced biological treatment systems.

Aquapoint`s principal markets include residential, commercial, institutional and municipal wastewater treatment up to one million gallons per day (gpd). Because wastewater characteristics are site specific, we have developed technologies that allow adaptive solutions to a variety of wastestreams and the discharge standards required by their receiving environments.

Our products, processes and resources generate cost-benefit advantages greater than those associated with conventional onsite systems and traditional sewer. Aquapoint achieves these advantages by integrating modular technologies that have been selected specifically for their simplicity, natural stability, cost effectiveness and regulatory acceptance.

At Aquapoint we understand that each decentralized wastewater treatment solution is site specific. Our staff includes environmental engineers, freshwater ecologists, certified soil evaluators, and licensed wastewater plant operators who are prepared to assist our clients with the design and permitting of advanced biological wastewater treatment systems.

Applications

Understanding the unique characteristics of a specific waste stream is essential to designing a successful wastewater treatment system. With over fifty years combined experience in designing and operating wastewater treatment systems, Aquapoint`s engineers have the knowledge and understanding to assist design engineers and clients in selecting the proper treatment solution for their needs.

Aquapoint designs wastewater treatment systems for a variety of applications

Residential Waste Water Treatment

The advanced treatment of residential wastewater is typically accomplished with individual NSF certified treatment systems. However, limiting residential treatment to individual on-lot systems can result in less effective nutrient removal and high capital & life cycle costs per home. These undesirable characteristics can be eliminated through the use of residential cluster systems that collect and treat wastewater for entire communities.

Cluster System Benefits

  • Low capital and life cycle costs per home.
  • Reduced operation costs per home
  • Small footprint
  • Enhanced treatment capability for nutrient reduction

Commercial Waste Water Treatment

Commercial wastewater is usually highly concentrated in organic content and complicated by sanitary routines and house keeping habits that shorten the expected life of the soil disposal system. Advanced wastewater treatment will preserve the disposal system indefinitely and often represents a one to three year return on investment for commercial facilities.

Institutional Waste Water Treatment

Institutional facilities typically have larger wastewater flows with lower organic concentration than commercial waste streams. However, some institutions such as schools may have exceptionally high concentrations of ammonia nitrogen and very erratic peak flows. It is critical to understand the institution`s lifestyle and sanitary routines when designing a treatment system.

Municipal Waste Water Treatment

Small and rural communities generally find it difficult to assemble the resources to develop a traditional wastewater infrastructure. Yet, without infrastructure it is difficult to enhance property values and economic development. Decentralized wastewater treatment systems represent a low cost, low impact and high benefit solution. Employing modular systems whose processes are natural and require little management is a strategy for success that has the support of Rural Community Assistance Programs (RCAP) and Rural Utility Service (RUS) offices
