ADS FlowShark
The industry`s most versatile permanent monitor for single or dual channel measurement. The industry`s most versatile performer is now available to owners and managers of sanitary and CSO sewer systems.FlowShark, the newest member of the ADS permanent monitoring family, offers remarkable operational and communication flexibility, performance and reliability.
For operational flexibility, FlowShark can be configured for either single or dual channel operation. In dual channel mode, FlowShark operates with two full sets of ADS patented sensor arrays: Quadredundant ultrasonic, peak velocity and pressure depth sensors. Onboard wireless communications makes it ideal for remote locations. Superb power management design affords a remarkable 18 month battery life for reliable, economical operation. FlowShark`s accuracy is based upon the same ETV-verified technology of its predecessors, ADS Models 4000 and 3600/3601.
FlowShark communicates through standard flow monitoring software; it also connects with SCADA systems via 4-20mA output or permit data consolidation and sharing through a number of Web-based software tools.
Applications
- CSO monitoring
- I/I analysis
- Inner-agency billing
- Master plan studies
- Storm sewers
- Rehabilitation effectiveness monitoring
FlowShark Pulse - Liquid Flow Monitor
The new FlowShark® Pulse for Open Channels from ADS® is a high performance liquid flow monitor for use in open channels of virtually any shape. It is designed for high accuracy and reliability, utilizing the most advanced velocity measurement technology available – gated cross correlation with digital pattern detection. Ease-of-use is also a design priority. Programming can be done completely on the built-in backlit display and data can be viewed and manipulated with any software that can read text files, such as Microsoft Excel.
Application
FlowShark Pulse is used for monitoring applications where measurement accuracy is critical or where hydraulic conditions are not suited for general purpose monitoring technologies.
FlowAlert - Wireless Depth Monitoring and Alarming System
The new ADS FlowAlert is a depth-based alarm system offering an economical alternative for wastewater collection system monitoring. This new wireless alarming system features a combination float switch and depth sensor device for widespread deployment in networks requiring rapid notification and response to abnormal flow conditions.
FlowAlert utilizes two float switches to provide date-and time-stamped depth notification. An optional depth sensor logs actual depth readings for depth trending and flow calculation. The wireless communication platform instantly notifies up to three text or e-mail addresses of unusual flow conditions – low, high, and high high. The unit is housed in a rugged, yet light-weight submersible enclosure. Built into every FlowAlert is advanced circuitry that minimizes power usage, providing exceptional battery life. FlowAlert delivers depth alarming without proprietary software.
ADS Model 3600 - A Permanent Flow Monitor for Operating In Potentially Explosive Atmospheres
The ADS Models 3600 is certified intrinsically safe for confined spaces requiring explosion proof operation and nominally operate in sewerlines from 8`` to 110`` in diameter. Battery powered, these models are designed to measure flow over long-term periods in open channel and communicate via standard telephone telemetry or wireless communication networks. The Model 3600 operates with ADS Quadredundant ultrasonic, peak velocity and depth sensors and is normally configured in networks from 5 to over 100 units.
The ADS Model 3600 is for non-North American installations where the customer selects their own country-specific modem and deploys it in the ADS External Modem Unit (EMU) housing outside the hazardous area.
Applications
- Intrinsically safe
- Class 1
- Div 1 environments
- I/I analysis
- Inner-agency billing
- Master plan studies
- CSO monitoring
- Storm sewers
- Rehabilitation effectiveness monitoring

Accusonic Model 7510+
The Accusonic® Model 7510+TM provides accurate, reliable flow measurement on applications ranging from full pipes to partially full or surcharged pipes, open channels, streams, and rivers. Additionally, the 7510+ can measure flow in up to 4 separate pipes and/or channels simultaneously. Measurable pipe/channel sizes range from 8 inches to 600 feet. Utilizing multiple-path chordal transit-time technology, achievable accuracy is +/-0.5% in full pipes and +/-2.0% in partially full pipes and channels. The complete offering of Accusonic transducers is available for use with the 7510+ including designs for hazardous area installations, exposed pipes of all materials, buried or encased pipes, and pipes and channels that cannot be dewatered.
Accusonic Model 7500
The Accusonic® Technologies Model 7500TM Flowmeter offers ultrasonic, transit-time technology for reliable precision flow measurement for full-pipe flow monitoring applications. The Model 7500 provides flexible configurations for flow monitoring in pressurized pipes, penstocks and low-head hydro intakes. A single Model 7500 Flowmeter Console may be used to measure flowrates in more than one pipe, and the system may be expanded with the addition of Remote Flow Transmitters to simultaneously monitor flowrates in up to 16 separate pipes. Flow measurements in pipes up to 60 ft (18 m) in diameter can be accomplished with high accuracy. The Model 7500 system utilizes the multiple parallel-path accoustic transit-time technique, an absolute flow measurement method capable of achieving high flowrate accuracy under difficult metering conditions. Ultrasonic transducers are mounted in pairs that define accoustic paths across the flow profile. An average flow velocity is determined at each path level by measuring the difference in transit-times for accoustic pulses moving in upstream and downstream directions.Flowrate is calculated in the Model 7500 via full-profile integration of the flow velocities measured for each accoustic path. Measurement accuracies to within +/- 0.5% of true flowrate can be achieved.
