Consumers look for brand names and updated technologies, when selecting equipment to fulfill their requirements irrespective of the industry they are in.
The City of Galesburg, Illinois, has selected Siemens Water Technologies to provide equipment for a new $17.5M water treatment plant to be located near Oquawka. The equipment consists of two aluminum induced draft aerators, and two CenTROL cluster filters. This equipment will increase the treatment plant`s capacity from 32 MLD (8.5 MGD) to 45 MLD (12 MGD), allowing the plant to supply treated water to towns and users along the way. It will also improve the water quality and taste.

Mobile Waste Treatment Systems: Worthwhile? |
Author : Dr. Hans G. Valerius Company : Enigma Process Technologies Corp. |
Leaving the municipal waste treatment aside, although this part can be fully integrated in the example given here, the majority of companies in the production of food, beverages and other consumer products have been given a very small budget to find ways and means to comply with the governments` rules and regulations. Voluntarily, only a few do have the intention to contribute to a clean environment, the majority is only willing to undertake necessary steps when they are forced to do so. |
