The relationship between water and energy used in wastewater treatment and water reclamation is a complex one.
Manteca Public Works is exploring three renewable energy resources namely wind mills, a solar farm, and a methane gas powered generation plant. These are ways to chip away at, or wipe out one of the biggest costs of running the waste water treatment plant, electricity.
SAME Water, a member of the Water Institute of South Africa, has introduced three new products which include the micro fine drum screening pipeline systems, vertical screening for deep pipelines, and dredging equipment for ponds in 2007 and 2008.
