Construction Dust Monitoring
Using EPA certified monitors, Oceanit has developed a construction dust monitoring system that alerts crews via a cell phone call about dust outbreaks that cause health hazards and complaints from adjacent neighborhoods.
Catalyst: Over the last several years, a steady stream of lawsuits in Hawaii has created an increasing awareness of construction-generated dust and the resultant consequences. Fugitive dust is construction-generated dust that causes a health hazard or nuisance to adjacent occupants or homeowners.
High Accuracy Network Determination System
Track it. HANDS or High Accuracy Network Determination System is a global network of low-cost optical ground stations for space object characterization and tracking.
Catalyst: The surveillance and control of outer space is growing in commercial and military importance.
Life Before: Current systems provide mostly range or distance (Z) information about an object in space.
Life After: HANDS will provide angular information or X and Y coordinates and fuse the information with the Z coordinate of objects in space. Typical uses for the new system will be to track and catalog satellites, and provide more precise orbital information for the Air Force.

Measure it. Safe Sky Technologies is a spin-off of Oceanit. Oceanit developed this leading-edge technology for the SST3D and the SST40 Ceilometers to respond to the needs of the aviation and weather service industry.

Where's the Innovative Thinking? Safe Sky Technologies (SST) designs and develops next generation ceilometers and ceilometer systems with 3D-scanning capabilities. Unlike conventional fixed-mount systems, 3D-scanning allows SST products to provide 360 degree information gathering and measurements from a single operating unit. SST products are specifically designed for aviation weather safety and observations systems.
