Biography

M. Marczak, MSc, is a PhD student at the Analytical Chemistry Department, working on his thesis devoted to novel techniques of determination of major organic pollutants in water and bottom sediments.

L. Wolska, PhD, is Senior Researcher at the Analytical Chemistry Department. She is a specialist in the field of isolation and determination of environmental pollutants, pollution assessment and biotests. She has co-authored more than 50 papers on the subject.

W. Chrzanowski, PhD, DSc, is Assistant Professor at the Physical Chemistry Department and Deputy Director of the Center of Excellence in Environmental Analysis and Monitoring (CEEAM; www.pg.gda.pl/chem/CEEAM). The latter is a project supported under European Union 5th Framework Program. Since 1992 till 1998 he worked at Canada and the US universities.

J. Namieœnik is the Head of the Analytical Chemistry Department and the Director of CEEAM. Former two terms Dean of the Chemical Faculty. He has published more than 250 papers and 4 books on analytical and environmental issues. He is a member of numerous editorial boards and scientific societies. Research interest of his group is focused on water and air pollution, trace analysis, sample preparation and biomonitoring.
