Biography

Dr. Edward Funk has 20 years experience with Fortune 20 companies. Corporate Research of Exxon and Corporate Technology for Honeywell. At Honeywell, Dr. Funk was involved in the development of new membranes for water treatment. He was project manager for a multi-year DOE contract on membrane development. He also managed a project on the development of water recycle system for use in the US space station.

As a consultant, Dr. Funk specializes in the area of intellectual property and patent infringement issues. He has been involved in numerous cases involving membrane processes, separations, and technology in the water industry. He is the author of 6 US patents and 40 technical publications. He has a BS in Applied Science from Yale and a Ph. D in Chemical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley. He has been a consultant for 10 years and simultaneously holds a Visiting Professorship at University of Illinois, Chicago.
