Biography
Brent Alspach holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University (’95, ’97) in New York. Brent joined Malcolm Pirnie in 1997 and currently serves as a Project Engineer specializing in potable water quality and treatment. He has a wide variety of experience with membrane treatment projects, including procurement, quality assurance, pilot testing, and regulatory issues, and has a central role in leading Malcolm Pirnie's membrane practice. Most recently, Brent has served as one the primary authors of the USEPA’s Membrane Filtration Guidance Manual in support of the Long-Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule. As a member of both the American Membrane Technology Association and the American Water Works Association, Brent has had the good fortune to indulge his interest in membrane filtration and desalination by attending and participating in conferences such as this one. Brent currently lives and works in Carlsbad, CA, many hundreds of miles from the snowy winters of upstate New York
