Retrofit & Equipment Rehabilitation

With the proven track record and AWTS designed proprietary products such as patented internal distributors for ion exchange demineralizers, increased throughput capacities of up to 300% are not uncommon. Example of these projects are: 3000 gpm demineralizer system rehabilitation for Dow Chemical Company, 600 gpm RO/DI system retrofit and upgrade for Entergy, 1600 gpm RO system upgrade for TVA and 600 gpm pretreatment/RO system  upgrade for Tenaska.

Site Specific Training

Follow-through after rehabilitation or new installations is assured with AWTS training programs as well as informal instruction. AWTS provides a one day, three-days, one week and two weeks site specific training for the operators of the water treatment system. During our training period we share practical ideas with the plant operators and managers on how to improve and optimize system operation, when to perform inspections, cleaning, membrane replacement, ion exchange resin replacement, collection and evaluation of operating data.

Water Treatment Consulting

AWTS Retrofit & Equipment Rehabilitation saves you money!

Effective Retrofit & Rehabilitation is often a necessary blend of three criteria: quality, cost, and schedule. Advances in component retrofit designs developed by AWTS and other available water and wastewater treatment and ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge) technologies are considerations along with capital and operating projections.

Testing and Operation of high purity water system and waste water treatment systems are critical to determine the design and scope of full-scale systems. Site specific conditions and customer requirements must also be taken into account. Industry as well as AWTS experience has shown that the more planning and engineering resources put into a project, the better assurance there is that the real issues are identified and resolved, and water quality as well as capacity are improved or maintained over time well after the  project is complete.
