RO removes hardness and excess minerals, odour, colour and other organic compounds that negatively impact water quality.
Customers with Commercial Reverse Osmosis Systems are
Car Washes: Excess minerals cause spotting of freshly washed cars. RO is used to produce spot-free rinse water.
Restaurants: RO purified water improves the taste of drinking water, ice and other beverages, eliminates scaling of steam tables, and provides spot-free rinse water.
Water Vending: Both water vending machines and bottling plants use RO to produce safe, healthy, good-tasting water.
Marine: Ocean-going boats and yachts purify seawater with RO to produce drinking water.

2`` Home Drinking Water Membranes
Home drinking water RO is used to purify tap water for drinking in homes. This application is generally referred to as ``point of use`` (POU).
Home drinking water RO can be used to remove excess or harmful minerals, removes odour, colour and other organic compounds, which contribute to bad taste or health concerns.

Antiscalants
In order to improve system performance and to prevent scaling and fouling of the membrane surface, a full range of high performance antiscalants have been developed. The selection of the most suitable antiscalant is based on the given raw water composition and the desired recovery rate. In addition to antiscalants that can cover the demand of most water qualities, our products can also provide protection against high levels of iron and silica. ROPUR RPI-2800, RPI-3000A and RPI-4900A for use in the production of potable water by Reverse Osmosis (RO) are NSF-60 approved. ROPUR RPI-4000A has a KIWA approval for use in the production of potable water by RO.

Pressure Vessels
The best membrane element cannot perform properly, if it does not perfectly fit into a compatible pressure vessel. To overcome this technical interface problem, ROPUR offers both membrane elements and pressure vessels. The single source purchase avoids compatibility problems, ensures proper performance and high reliability of your membrane plant.

ROPUR can supply complete standard racks for seawater and brackish water desalination to OEMs and general contractors. This opportunity prevents our customers from the possible risk of dealing with a potential competitor or an unskilled workshop; it may also help to overcome a bottleneck in the engineering or production department.

Fittings & Flexible Couplings
Our 8`` pressure vessels are, by default, available with 1.5`` high pressure ports featuring grooves for connection by flexible pipe couplings. These couplings help to absorb manufacturing tolerances on pipework and pressure vessels, and are the standard solution for a tension-free connection without vibrations. They are very easy to install and to service, and can be obtained from Toray Membrane Europe AG in a selection of pressure ranges and materials.
Materials of flexible pipe couplings (``Victaulic`` style) are stainless steel 316L or hot galvanized cast iron. These couplings are a well-established standard connection from RO pressure vessels to associated high pressure piping. The couplings are available from 300 to 1200 psi pressure rating.
P3-Aquaclean Cleaning Chemicals
For a consistent and reliable system performance and longevity of membrane elements, it is essential to use special cleaning agents, efficient and compatible with the applied membrane. Not only is the quality of the applied chemicals important application know-how and backup from the chemical manufacturer is needed for normal use and troubleshooting in particular. Therefore, ROPUR has concluded an agreement with Ecolab, a company of repute and experience in this field, to sell P3-Aquaclean membrane cleaners for water and wastewater treatment systems.
The P3-Aquaclean membrane cleaners are compatible with all commonly used membrane elements of the leading RO membrane manufacturers for water purification. All P3-Aquaclean membrane cleaners are available in liquid form for easy handling. They are designed for minimised environmental impact, efficiency and easy use.
