The belt filter press type SNP is a continuously operating machine, for the high dewatering of suspensions and sludges. Sludges are carried between two sieve belts along 12 (up to 14) press rollers. The diameter of the press rollers is reduced constantly which results in an increasing pressure. An essential advantage of the belt filter press compared to other dewatering processes is the possibility to enlarge the capacity for high throughput by extending the predewatering zone of the belt filter press (e.g. by installing a belt thickener on top of the press).
The belt filter press can be used in the following industrial sectors:
- Municipal plants
- Pulp and paper industry
- Leather industry
- Textile processing
- Fruit and vegetable processing
- Drinking water processing
- Steel works and roller mills
- Sugar industry
- Bio-water processing
Advantages and characteristics of the belt filter press SNP
- Modern high-capacity belt-filter presses in sturdy frame and open construction completely enclosed
- Large gravity thickening area for predewatering
- High pressure zone includes 12 (or 10) press rollers
high dewatering performance due to an convenient arrangement of the rollers and high pressing power of 8 - 10 bar
- Low costs for operation and maintenance
- Wash water consumption can be substituted by filtrate
- Low-wear and low-noise operation mode due to the slow run of the machine
- Continuous and fully automatic operation
- High reduction of sludge volume for saving of transport costs
- Sludge cake is suitable for further processes (drying, transport, storage etc.) due to its crumbly, non-sticky structure
- Corrosion-protection due to stainless steel construction, special coatings or hot-galvanized steel
