Honeywell backflow preventers are suitable for the protection of drinking water systems against backflow, back pressure and back syphonage. They can be used for residential buildings, commercial and industrial purposes within the limits of their specification.
Backflow preventers are available in three different types of construction. They are approved according to DIN 1988, Part 4 and EN 1717 and offer unrestricted protection up to fluid category 4, and under certain conditions also to class 5.
Backflow Preventer with Union Connectors Din Type 1 for Medium Risk Protection - R295
R295 backflow preventers are suitable for the protection of drinking water systems as required by EN 1717 ``The technical regulation of drinking water systems`` and correspond to type 1 construction in those regulations. Their purpose is to protect systems against back pressure, back flow and back syphonage of non-potable water into the public water supply network. R 295 backflow preventers can be used to provide protection up to and including liquid category 3 (slightly toxic substances) and therefore offer better protection than non return valves.
Backflow Preventer with Union Connectors, DIN type 2 for High Risk Protection -R295H
R295H backflow preventers are suitable for the protection of drinking water systems as required by EN 1717 ``The technical regulation of drinking water systems`` and correspond to type 2 construction in those regulations. Their purpose is to protect systems against back pressure, back flow and back syphonage of non-potable water into the public water supply network. R295H backflow preventers can be used to provide protection up to and including liquid category 4 (toxic, very toxic, carcinogenic and radioactive substances).
Backflow Preventer with Union Connectors, DIN type 2 for High Risk Protection, Electrically Actuated - R295SA
R295SA backflow preventers are suitable for the protection of drinking water systems as required by EN 1717 ``The technical regulation of drinking water systems`` and correspond to type 2 construction in those regulations. Their purpose is to protect systems against back pressure, back flow and back syphonage of non-potable water into the public water supply network. R295SA backflow preventers can be used to provide protection up to and including liquid category 4 (toxic, very toxic, carcinogenic and radioactive substances).
Backflow Preventer Compact Construction with Threaded Connectors - CA295
Backflow preventers are suitable for the protection of drinking water systems against back pressure, back flow and back syphonage. Fluids up to and including liquid category 3 to EN 1717 are protected. This corresponds to construction type 2 to EN 1717.
Backflow Preventer Compact Construction with Threaded Connectors - BA295 and BA295C
BA295 backflow preventers are suitable for the protection of drinking water systems against back pressure, back flow and back syphonage. Fluids up to and including liquid category 4 to EN 1717 are protected. This corresponds to construction type 2 to EN 1717. They can be used for residential buildings, industrial and commercial purposes within the scope of their specification.
Backflow Preventer Stainless Steel Construction with Threaded Connections - BA299I
The BA299I backflow preventer is ideally installed in the water supply pipework within the scope of pr. EN 1717 for the protection of potable water against back pressure, back flow and back syphonage of non-potable water. The BA299I permits the highest level of protection to be achieved (liquid category 4) which is possible with a safety device.
Backflow Preventers with Flanges
Honeywell flanged backflow preventers are suitable for the protection of drinking water systems against back flow, back pressure and back syphonage. They can be used for supplies to buildings and for commercial and industrial purposes within the limits of their specification. They are approved according to DIN 1988, Part 4 and EN 1717 and offer unrestricted protection up to fluid category 4. This corresponds to construction type 2, EN 1717.
Backflow Preventer with Flanges, DIN type 1 for Medium Risk Protection - R295P-F
R295P-F backflow preventers are suitable for the protection of drinking water systems as required by EN 1717 ``The technical regulation of drinking water systems`` and correspond to type 1 construction in those regulations. Their purpose is to protect systems against back pressure, back flow and back syphonage of non-potable water into the public water supply network. R295P-F backflow preventers can be used to provide protection up to and including liquid category 3 (slightly toxic substances) and therefore offer better protection than non return valves.
Backflow Preventer with Flanges, DIN type 2 for High Risk Protection, Electrically Actuated - R295SP-F
R295SP-F backflow preventers are suitable for the protection of drinking water systems as required by EN 1717 ``The technical regulation of drinking water systems`` and correspond to type 2 construction in those regulations. Their purpose is to protect systems against back pressure, back flow and back syphonage of non-potable water into the public water supply network. R295SP-F backflow preventers can be used to provide protection up to and including liquid category 4 (toxic, very toxic, carcinogenic and radioactive substances). The changeover from shut-off to flow positions can be by means of a hydraulic or electrical/electronic actuator.
Reduced-Pressure-Zone Backflow Preventer with Flange Connections - Industrial model - BA298I-F
BA298I-F reduced-pressure-zone backflow preventers are suitable for the protection of drinking water systems against back pressure, back flow and back syphonage. Fluids up to liquid category 4 to EN 1717 are protected. This corresponds to construction type 2, EN 1717. They can be used for supplies to buildings and for industrial and commercial purposes within the limits of their specification. All metal components are in 1.4305 stainless steel. This makes them especially suitable for applications where there is high corrosion, as well as in cases where non-ferrous metals are not permissible.
