Larry Larson, P.E, CFM, Executive Director of Association of State Floodplain Managers, Inc. Mr. Larson managed the Floodplain Management and Dam Safety Programs for the State of Wisconsin for many years. He has been the Executive Director of ASFPM since 1982. As the Executive Director he promotes the Association’s mission to reduce flood losses in the nation and to preserve and enhance the natural and beneficial functions of floodplains. He represents the Association’s 8,000 members and 22 Chapters throughout the nation. Mr. Larson graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and California, and a Certified Floodplain Manager .
