Drilling and Oilfield/Effluent Products for the Tunnelling, Drilling and Shaft-Sinking Sectors

Drilling Mud Additives

Fisher`s drilling mud additives are formulated to improve the properties of both fresh and seawater muds for efficient operation and better down hole performance. These drilling additives support a ``total system`` approach to controlling major mud properties.

They are particularly effective where faster drilling of slough shale is required, and where environmental considerations require the use of non-toxic drilling fluids and additives.

Fluid Loss Control – Fisher PAC/CMC/Xanthan Drilling Mud Additives

These are purified products specifically designed to protect the integrity of the bore. They control fluid loss without increasing viscosity (PAC/CMC LV) while stabilising and controlling gel strengths establishing a tough, flexible well cake along the well bore. The PAC/CMC HV range adds viscosity to the system without the need for polyacrylamides.

Viscosifiers and Shale Stabilisation – Fisher Anionic Polymer Range

These additives increase viscosity improving mud rheology to help clean the hole and lubricate the bit.

These additives reduce problems with sloughing shale`s, which allows faster penetration rates with less equipment wear.

Thinners and Rheology Control Additives – Fisher Drilling Fluid Thinners

Viscosity and gel strength can be reduced and fluids loss control improved as solids are deflocculated with Fisher additives.

Bentonite Extender – Fisher EX

This product is specifically designed for low solids, non-dispersed drilling technology, which extends the yield of bentonite and encapsulates low yield drilled solids for subsequent removal.

Fisher EX extender enables the drilling engineer to maintain active solids below 5% for fast drilling rates.

Solids Control – Fisher Flocculants and Coagulants

These additives effectively reduce low yield drill cuttings without removing beneficial bentonite in both dispersed and non-dispersed drilling fluids

Dewatering of Drilling Mud`s - Fisher Flocculants and Coagulants

Fisher has a wide range of unique polymers for thickening and dewatering difficult-to-treat drilling mud sludge`s.

Fisher Flocculants

Fisher Floc additives are low molecular weight anionic copolymers used to prevent fluid losses in the formation. There is also a large range of cationic charged polymers and high molecular weight viscosifiers.

Produced Fluids

Demulsifiers and Deoilers – Fisher flocculants

A new line of high charge cationic polymer demulsifiers and deoilers has been developed to treat reverse oil-in-water emulsions.

These new chemistries are very effective in rupturing the emulsifier stability of oil droplets creating coalescence and flocculation, generating fast water-oil separation.

Scale Control – Fisher Scale Inhibitors

These scale inhibitors are widely used for injection water treatment, “topside” scale control and ``squeeze`` treatments.

These products are very effective in the control of calcium and barium scale-forming species.

Water Clarification - Fisher Flocculants and Coagulants

Fisher`s water-soluble polymers are used worldwide for the clarification of produced water for re-injection or environmental disposal. The wide range of products are specifically designed to meet the stringent processes and regulatory limits on suspended solids, BOD, COD, oil and grease, heavy metals, colour and turbidity.

Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) – Fisher Polymers

Fisher polymers are a unique family of liquid and dry anionic polymers designed to meet the critical requirements of the various chemically enhanced EOR processes.

Manufactured to optimise anionic charge and molecular weight these products offer a wide range of viscosity development and mobility control properties.

Fisher`s product line of water-soluble polymers spans a wide range of chemistries, physical forms, molecular weights and charge values specifically formulated for efficient operations and optimised performance.




Drilling Mud Additives

Enviro A03 - Potable Water Grade Tunnelling Flocculent

Enviro A03 meets the EN/BS 1407:1998 Directive. Enviro A03 is an easy mixing, water soluble, reduced charge anionic polymer. Enviro A03 can be used as a flocculent to assist the separation of drilled solids in tunnelling applications. Due to strict manufacturing process controls this product is classified as suitable for potable water clarification.

Recommended Use

  • Enviro A03 can be used as a flocculent or as a swell inhibitor in semi reactive soils
  • Enviro A03 can also be used within a bentonite/non bentonite system.

Enviro A70 - Anionic Flocculation Block

Enviro A70 is a solid gel block used for the flocculation of solids in running watercourses. Each 2kg block is designed to release polymer at a set level, which is directly proportional to the volume of flow across the block surfaces.

Recommended Use

Enviro A70 should be installed at the maximum flow point of the running watercourse. The optimum level of flocculent can be reached by adding more than one block to a water system.

Enviro Carry All - Xanthan Based Bi-Polymer

Enviro Carry All is an easy mixing biopolymer additive used to enhance the carrying capacity of a drilling Fluid. The additive will greatly enhance the Gel Strength profile of the fluid and will thus create a cleaner bore.

Recommended Use

Enviro Carry All is designed to enhance the gel strength of the drilling fluid for improved suspension and transporting of drill cuttings on extended bores. Enviro Carry All will perform effectively in most water conditions.

Enviro Clay Slip Dry - Tunnelling Flocculation Aid

Enviro Clay Slip Dry is an easy mixing, water soluble, high molecular weight anionic polymer. This granular polymer improves drilling efficiency in both horizontal and vertically drilled holes. Enviro Clay Slip can also be used as a flocculent to assist the separation of drilled solids in tunnelling applications.

Recommended Use

  • Enviro Clay Slip dry is a drilling fluid grade polymer for improved viscosity, fluid loss control, string/bit lubrication and clay/shale swell inhibition.
  • Can be used within a bentonite/non bentonite system

Enviro Clay Slip Plus - Liquid PHPA 50% active

Enviro Clay Slip plus is a liquid co-polymer designed for fast field mixing and shale/clay stabilisation in aqueous drilling fluids. 

Recommended Use

  • Enviro Clay Slip plus can be used to inhibit clay and shale hydration, as well as an additive in bentonite drilling fluids to marginally increase viscosity and lower fluid loss by acting as a bridging agent

Enviro Clear Head 150 - Drilling Detergent

Enviro Clear Head 150 is a liquid blend of non-ionic surfactants formulated to increase detergency and wetting properties of drilling fluids. It can also be used as a substitute for foaming agents for use within Tunnelling and Auger boring applications through reactive clay formations.

Recommended Use

  • Enviro Clear Head has been developed to control interfacial tension and inhibit the hydration and dispersion of reactive clays and shales

Enviro Form Fill - Loss Circulation Material

Description: Enviro Form Fill is a course granular, technically advanced super-absorbent material that rapidly absorbs and retains large volumes of water from aqueous solutions. Enviro Form Fill can absorb vast quantities of fluid and ``plug`` fractured or damaged formations.

Recommended Use

  • Enviro Form Fill is ideally suited for loss circulation control in highly fractured and permeable/porous formations. Enviro Form Fill can also be used to solidify bentonite slurries into a more manageable consistency for disposal

Enviro Guar - Drilling Grade Guar Gum

Enviro Guar is a medium granulation, medium viscosifier. 

Recommended Use

  • Designed to for applications where water binding lubrication or medium viscosity is required

Enviro Pac - Loss Circulation Bi-Polymer

Enviro-Pac is a granular polymer designed for building a low solids drilling fluid with superior borehole stability. Enviro-Pac is a quickly dispersible polymer when added through a standard venturi system. 

Recommended Use

  • Enviro-Pac is designed to promote borehole stability in a variety of drilling applications

Enviro Supasorb - Slurry Solidifying Polymer

Enviro Supasorb is a mixed particle size super absorbent, the granule is a free flowing material that is non-toxic.

Recommended Use

  • Enviro Supasorb can be used to solidify bentonite slurries into a more manageable consistency for disposal. Once the slurry has been solidified disposal can be carried out without the risk of slurry spill/escape into the watercourse




Drilling Products

Dry Polyacrylamide (Pam) Anionic Series

The Fisher series of Anionic flocculants are unique, ultra high molecular weight polymers offering the full range of Charge. They work effectively as coagulant aids or sludge conditioning agents in solid-liquid separation processes.

These products are especially effective where extreme high molecular weight products are required such as dissolved air flotation, settling and pulping liquor clarification. The chemistry range available ensures there is a product suitable for the most demanding of applications.
 
Applications

  • DAF systems - resulting in clearer underflows and increased flow rates
  • Gravity separation - improves floc formation and accelerated settling rates
  • Mechanical dewatering - inorganic sludge`s are more easily processed and greater efficiency is achieved from process plant
  • Coagulation Aid - settling aid used in conjunction with organic/inorganic coagulants
  • Water Clarification - improves quality of influent and effluent waters by reducing turbidity and suspended solids
  • Phosphate removal - in waste water systems
  • Viscosity modifier

Emulsion Polyacrylamide (Pam) Anionic Series

The Fisher series of Anionic flocculants are unique, ultra high molecular weight polymers offering the full range of Charge. They work effectively as coagulant aids or sludge conditioning agents in solid-liquid separation processes.

These products are especially effective where extreme high molecular weight products are required such as dissolved air flotation, settling and pulping liquor clarification. The chemistry range available ensures there is a product suitable for the most demanding of applications.

Polyamines
