Biography

Ms. Eveline Bolt - She is the Section Head at the Dept. of Resource Centre Development. She is involved in facilitating Resource Centre development processes in various countries. She has over sixteen years of experience in the water and sanitation sector, particularly in Asia (including Nepal, Pakistan and Vietnam) and in West and Southern Africa (including Togo, Mali, Burkina Faso and Namibia). ). She started off in the field of health education and community participation, and later also specialised in community management and gender issues. Ms. Bolt has also authored articles and publications in this field.

Ms. Kathleen Shrodt - Ms. Shordt is Senior Programme Officer in the Dept. of Knowledge Development and Advocacy. She is a social demographer specialising in monitoring and evaluation, programme communication and management, community-managed sanitation and community participation approaches. She has more than 20 years' of experience in and related to developing countries in a wide range of sectors including education, public health, early childhood care, rural development and population. She has experience, within the water and sanitation sector, working in Guinea Bissau, Eritrea, India, Namibia, Tanzania and Vietnam, in addition to extensive working experience in more than 20 other countries in Asia and Africa. She has authored and co-authored an extensive list of publications within her areas of expertise.

Mr. Dick de Jong - He is the Information and Communications Officer at the Dept. of Information and COmmunication. He is responsible for IRC's public information, advocacy and marketing programme and provides support to its activities in communication, information management, public relations, publications management and training and briefing programmes. He is a Journalist from the School of Journalism in Utrecht (1969), with 30 years' experience as a practicing communication specialist, including seven years in international and national journalism and three years in the field of information and communication with UNICEF in Bangladesh. Mr. de Jong has over twenty years of involvement with water supply, sanitation and hygiene education in developing countries.
