Energy investments are long-term investments; therefore planning for the future needs to begin. With this study, it’s deduced that a contribution of RES to total inland consumption of 20% by 2020 is possible. The contribution of renewable energy sources to electricity production will be more than 33% in 2020 and the contribution of renewable energy to heat production will be 25% by 2020. The benefits of this contribution are a greater CO2 reduction, more investments, fuel savings and an additional employment to more than 2 million people.
