- Belt Filter Press

3-Belt Klampress: By combining thickening and dewatering decks in one unit feed sludge only has to be mixed with polymer once, so polymer consumption can be halved. Installed on a footprint of half that required for separate belt thickening and de-watering the 3-Belt Klampress is also the most convenient solution where space is at a premium. The 3-Belt Klampress is specifically designed to take dilute sludge feeds (< 1.5% dry solids) and dewater right up to 25% dry solids in one process.

All technologies have the flexibility to process SAS, primary or mixed sludge and take sludge feeds as thin as 0.5% ds. In typical applications DABs and Aquabelts are used to produce a thickened sludge of 3 to 6% ds but have the flexibility to thicken up to 7 to 8% ds where required.

Rugged stainless steel construction and automatic controls allow outdoor installation and unmanned operation. And with the minimum of moving parts it is highly dependable for long periods of maintenance-free operation. The DAB System opens up the possibility of thickening sludge on-site at remote or smaller STWs.
