Chem-Aqua, Inc., a wholly owned water treatment subsidiary of NCH Corporation, is pleased to announce that Pat Guccione, Vice President of Business Development for Chem-Aqua in Irving, TX, and Jay Wilkison, Senior Corporate Engineer for Chem-Aqua in Macon, GA, will co-present a session at IDEA’s (International District Energy Association) 2012 Annual Campus Energy Conference, held February 6-9 in Arlington, VA. This year’s conference marks the 25th anniversary of the Campus Energy Conference, which exemplifies the fact American colleges and universities have been leaders in investment and innovation in clean district energy.
Mr. Guccione and Mr. Wilkison will co-present with Olen Pruitt, Assistant Vice President for Facilities Management for The University of Alabama at Birmingham, the afternoon of Tuesday, February 7th. Their session, “Recovering Air Handler Condensate without Disrupting the Campus Infrastructure,” will focus on the process and final results for a plan to recover and use millions of gallons of high-quality condensate water that was previously going down the drain at UAB. Chem-Aqua and UAB worked closely to develop solutions to several obstacles throughout the project and have a tremendous success story to share during the session.
Since its founding in 1909, IDEA has been “Informing, Connecting, and Advancing” the global district energy industry. Today, over 1,400 IDEA members from 21 countries are converging on the simple fact that district energy infrastructure delivers higher energy efficiency with greater reliability and lower CO2 emissions from clean, local energy resources. IDEA’s Annual Campus Conference fosters a collegial peer exchange between industry professionals who build, maintain, operate, and optimize district energy systems to meet challenging economic objectives, regulatory requirements, and aggressive sustainability goals.
