There’s a new system dedicated to testing all kinds of water used on an everyday basis.
We’re talking about the water for drinking, washing, cooling systems and even wasting. LuminUltra Technologies has a Canadian-born technology used for detecting microorganisms. The firm, which says its prime selling point is better quality control as well as public health safety, has moved its efforts to the U.S.
In addition to Detroit, LuminUltra has spread to help with two businesses in Naperville, Ill. One is the world’s biggest chemical sales and service supplies business (called Naclo Company) and the other is a microbial risk management company (called Phigenics LLC). LuminUltra measures their microorganisms for safety and health purposes as well as other issues involving the environment.
What exactly are the types of businesses that should consider to undergo this kind of research and testing?
LuminUltra is aiming itself at a number of industries. These include municipalities and public health authorities, water treatment specialists, risk management professionals, the life sciences and manufacturing. With these industries in mind, the company is making test kits that can work flexibly for system operators and engineers.
LuminUltra sells test kits for individual and personal use so businesses can get an exact measurement of microorganisms in any type of water. The company says this helps to determine any health risks involved in a matter of minutes with accurate readings and feedback.
The kits work in many industries and work forces. They have found their way into the pulp and paper industry, oil refining, food processing, energy production and biotechnology. In addition, Chicago will be the home to the Atlantic Canada-U.S.Midwest 2008 Business Forum on Nov. 17, 2008. LuminUltra will be there to sell its wares.
Together with 60 other Canadian companies that are specialists in health care, food, technology and manufacturing, Canada and the U.S. will learn from one another, make new contacts and further business opportunities. |
