Water is a critical part of the electricity process at both Tarong and Tarong North Power Stations.
Tarong Energy recognises its responsibility in the conservation and management of water and associated discharge and we have a strong track record as responsible water managers. Ongoing drought conditions being experienced in Australia, and Queensland in particular, have heightened public awareness of this issue. The Corporation is committed to investigating opportunities to minimise the amount of water required in generating electricity. |
