Dr. Solaiman Abdulaziz Al-Twaijri, CEO of Saudi Arabian Amiantit announced that the increasing demand on Amiantit’s products in Saudi Arabia and globally has generated net sales of approximately SR 390 million during April 2008, at an increase of 44% compared with sales of SR 271 million in the same period of the last year, 2007. Total sales during the period from January 1st, 2008 to April 30th, was SR 1.319 billion, compared with SR 884 million for the same period of 2007, an increase of 49%. During April, the company achieved remarkable improvement in its net profits, which reached SR 32 million (SR 36 million before Zakat), compared with 9.069 million (SR 10.554 million before Zakat) for the year 2007, that is an increase of 240%. Accordingly, total profits from the beginning of the current year 2008 to the end of April has reached SR 77.698 million (SR87.698 before Zakat), compared with SR 24.409 million (28.594 million before Zakat) for the same period of last year, an increase of 206% (218% before Zakat).

Commenting on the company's financial results during April 2008, Dr. Al-Twaijri said that the financial results showed positive financial indications and come in line with Amiantit's plans to improve performance and production efficiency. He added that the outstanding results are promising and prove Amiantit’s ability to succeed in its endeavours to maintain growth and improved level of profits, and indicates the company ability to achieve similar results in the upcoming months.
