Dr. Solaiman Abdulaziz Al-Twaijri, CEO of Saudi Arabian Amiantit CO. announced that the Saudi Arabian Ductile Iron Pipes Company Ltd (SADIP), a company that Amiantit owns 75% of its shares, has received a loan of SAR 21.5 million (Twenty one million and five hundred thousand Saudi Riyals) from the Saudi Industrial Development Fund. The loan will be used to finance the expansion of the melting division in SADIP’s factory. With contract signed on 20 August 2008, the loan will be repaid with approximately six years. SADIP is producing ductile iron pipes at production capacity of 225,000 tons per year with various diameters.
