Piggyback analog controller board for 300W HPS10048-1 power supply
Features include:
- Allows uni- and bipolar operation of HPS10048-1 controlled by just one external potentiometer
- Provides support of all modes of operation of the HPS10048-1 board, voltage source/w current limiting and cable compensation and current source at constant voltage w/o cable compensation
- One terminal (wiper only) or three terminal (low, viper and high) potentiometer operation
- Potentiometer connections at pins Z14 (wiper) Z4 (high) and Z6 (low) of HPS10048-1 board
- Unipolar operation with either +/-5V or +/-15V control voltage range
- Bipolar operation with either +/-5V or +/-15V control voltage range
- Failsafe circuit to prevent unintentional output if the potentiometer is not set at zero at power on
- Zero point adjustment with trimmer P1
- Range limitation adjustment for either maximum current or maximum voltage with trimmer P3
- Dead band for switching the relay h-bridge only if output is zero
- Dead band adjustment with trimmer P2
- Board provides digital outputs to switch relay h-bridge as well as the power shutdown input of the HPS10048-1 board

- Control of all analog parameters of HPS10048-1 like, mode of operation, open circuit voltage, current limit and cable loss compensation via microcontroller
- Control of all digital outputs, PWM controller reset and shutdown and switching of relay h-bridge via microcontroller
- Control of all parameters of HPS10048-1 over RS485 interface from Windows® program for adjustment
- Storing of operation parameter sets in microprocessor integrated EEPROM over RS485 interface from Windows® program, e.g. for different cable lengths
- Measurement of output voltage and current, reverse voltage and heat sink temperature over Windows® program
- Reading of fault signal from PWM controller
