The H2 Measurement Procedure

With the gas-Check-H2 even tiny little leakages can be pinpointed. Hydrogen diffuses through almost any material due to its molecular size. The pipeline section to be checked is filled entirely with gas, and the pressure is increased slowly until the measurement varies according to the size of the leakage, the kind of soil, and the surface structure. The leakage on the pipeline will be below the spot showing the highest concentration of gas. Usually, the location indicated by the Gas Check does not deviate by more than a few centimetres from the actual leakage location.

PIPE SEARCHING

Pwg/2- Searching for pipes with the PWG Pulse Wave Generator

The PWG pipe locating system consists of a receiver (geophone) and an electronic pulse generator PWG to be screwed on a water pipeline or on a hydrant. This system allows location non-metal pipes running up to 2 metres below the surface. Technical effort can be kept low, and the pipe section does not need to be shut down during the location process. The particular pipe section requires a minimum pressure of 2 bar, and handling the system is very simple. No special skills required.

Applications

The waves generated by the device travel best on an   even ground structure and ground surface. Under good conditions, distances of between 50 metres and 600 meters can be covered. The Pulse Wave Generator system can help to draft, amend, or check network plans, and it can be used both inside and outside residential areas. Also unknown pipes can be located quickly and reliably with this system.

ZM- Capacity and Inflow Measurements

The "Water Loss Analysis" and "Inflow Analysis" measurement techniques have revolutionized the methods applied for loss calculations and evaluation of relevant measurement data in the water sector.

For the first time, there have been methods available to fairly objectively determine loss quantities and to locate the particular leakage spots. The simultaneous display of important measurement data for network monitoring purposes by zone measurement procedures was part of the reasonable usage.

The exact determination of water losses and consumption data in combination with the determination of night-time consumption is an element of the self-monitoring processes to take place at a later point of time through a splitting of the particular network into zones and zone monitoring through measurement spots and inbuilt MID´s respectively. SOFTWARE

Drulo Software

F.A.S.T GmbH has realised the DRULO software to support the users. This software supports the evaluation process which decodes the measured data collected by the receiver.

Furthermore, the software can also be used to program pressure loggers for a measurement procedure. The evaluated data can then be displayed as a curve. Also, several curves can be eclipsed, or measurements can be exported into Excel.

Aza 100 Software

The AZA 100 software is used to evaluate and to store the data collected by the radio loggers.

The software graphically supports the administration and the analyses of the measurement-related data on the basis of maps. These maps, in return, can be subdivided into several logical districts.

The particular positions of the radio loggers can then be defined in these districts or pressure zones on the map, and the measurement-related data can be allocated to the particular logger.
