Amiad, a producer and global supplier of automated water filters and filtration systems for the industrial, municipal and irrigation markets, is pleased to announce that Gil Nussbaum has been appointed by the Company with effect from 10 December 2008 as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and as a member of the board of directors of the Company. Gil succeeds Itamar Eder, the current CFO, who has resigned and stepped down from his service as a member of the board, as announced on 29 September 2008.

Mr Nussbaum, aged 37, has 14 years of managerial experience in finance and operations. Prior to joining Amiad, Mr Nussbaum was Vice President & CFO of Tnuva Romania, an €80m “greenfield” dairy production enterprise, where he led the founding and operation of the finance and economics division.

From 2003 until 2007, Mr Nussbaum held senior positions in Latin America at Plastro Irrigation Systems (including as a director of Plastro Peru SA between 2005 and 2007) and between 1999 and 2003 he was the manager of the financial division of Intentia Israel, an ERP implementation company.

Mr. Nussbaum speaks English, Spanish, Romanian and Hebrew and is a Chartered Public Accountant with a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University.
