What is SCADA?
SCADA is the acronym for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. The name SCADA system can be used to describe a multitude of computer-based control systems. This water quality system allows operators and facility personnel to monitor and control a plant or facility's equipment either locally or remotely. Typically, a SCADA system automates most of the control process so that plant operators can focus on other tasks. Though automated this systems' design also gives the operator flexibility to manually control the equipment whenever desired. Further, SCADA systems are installed to collect and store information for monitoring, maintenance indications, troubleshooting, and more.
SCADA system infrastructure processes can be either public or private. The system includes water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment.

This allows him to designate a tank as a controlling tank and all the wells should run or stop based on the level in that tank. Wells can be grouped and a group of wells can be started and stopped from the HMI computer by the operator with the click of a button or by the selected tank. Well groups can be alternated based on all stop algorithms or first-on-first-off.
