- Chemical Oxidation: Oxidants are introduced to the sample of ground water in this process. Oxidants are introduced as either liquids or gasses. Oxidants include air or oxygen, ozone, and certain liquid chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide and permanganate. Chemical oxidation has been proved to be an effective technique for dense water purification.
Physical Treatment Technologies
Many physical treatment technologies such as pump and treat air sparging, dual phase vacuum extraction and monitoring well oil skimming is used. One of the most commonly used ground water remediation technologies is pump and treat. Ground water is basically pumped to the surface. Biological or chemical treatments are added to remove the impurities in the process of pump and treat. On the other hand, airsparging is the process of blowing air directly into the ground water.
