Our Company

   Inuktun Services Ltd. (ISL) was founded in 1989 to design and manufacture Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and modular robotic systems for use in confined spaces and hazardous environments. Since then, the company has built a reputation as the expert in remote controlled robotic transport and delivery of visual inspection equipment and instrumentation tooling. Reliability, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness are emphasized in the design of all equipment produced by ISL. The company employs a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists, administrative and production personnel at its facility in Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island. In addition to producing and selling a complete line of standard equipment for a variety of remote robotic inspection applications, the company also offers a complete range of engineering services from conceptual design through to project completion. To ensure and maintain the company's high standard of quality systems assembly, integration and testing are accomplished using in-house electronic and machine assembly staff. In addition, ISL regularly develops partnerships with other businesses and consultants to provide specialty engineering in accordance with design criteria. As a result, ISL is able to provide customers with innovative, high-quality equipment that is functionally reliable, easily operated, and cost-effective. ISL has an excellent track record in providing complex, custom, mobile robotic systems to sophisticated clients such as Ontario Hydro, GE Nuclear Energy, Hitachi Nuclear, Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (US Department of Energy), Pacific Gas & Electric, ERDC, and many others.

Our range of Modular, Mobile robotics products are unmatched for deployment in: -Confined spaces -Hazardous areas -Underwater -Industries where we have proven capabilities include: PIPE INSPECTION Inuktun"s high-quality cameras and crawlers provide detailed video output using variable lighting with pan, tilt, and zoom controls. Cameras are mounted on the steerable crawler systems. The systems are capable of operation within a variety of pipe sizes from a minimum internal diameter of 4""/100mm. Inuktun"s systems can be used to evaluate problem area and can conduct final inspections in a wide range of pipe diameters and materials. POTABLE WATER SERVICES Inuktun"s submersible products are highly effective for use in a variety of tank, well, and water line inspections. Inuktun"s high-quality cameras and crawlers provide detailed video output using variable lighting with pan, tilt, and zoom controls. Cameras are mounted on steerable crawler systems. One of our crawlers is magnetically attached and can operate vertically, or even upside down. In addition to crawler systems, Inuktun offers a full range of potable drop cameras for use in the potable water industry. HYDROELECTRIC The many demands for remote inspection capability within the hydroelectric power generation industry can be met with Inuktun products. Our easy-to-use crawler systems are ideal for penstock and fish by-pass inspections. The transportable nature of our products makes them ideal for use at remote sites. Surface control and clear video images are the distinguishing features of our camera and crawler systems. OIL AND GAS Inuktun"s remote inspection equipment is used extensively in the oil and gas industry for non-destructive pipeline, confined space and drop camera inspections. Using intuitive control systems to complement high- resolutions, low-lux video cameras and agile crawlers, Inuktun"s family of products offer a wide range of solutions to the oil and gas sector.
