High Performance Coatings and Linings

,

Enviroline Group is a specialized manufacturer of state of the art, high performance coatings and linings designed to provide long term durability and protection against chemical attack, corrosion and leaks.

Over 50 years, the company`s founder, Paul I. Meli, Jr., pioneered the industry`s most innovative products and application techniques. Today, Enviroline Group has a proven history of quality applications in a number of industries, including water & wastewater, chemical processing, hazardous material storage, oil and gas, railcar, and food & beverage processing. Enviroline coatings and linings are widely recognized as both reliable and cost effective for a variety of storage tanks, containment areas and pipe applications.

The Enviroline® and Envirothane® Series of thick film ultra-low VOCs epoxy coatings and linings are spray applied in a single coat to a variable thickness ranging from 20 to 180 mils DFT. Providing long term durability and protection against chemical attack, corrosion and leaks, Enviroline products are high solids, and offer excellent chemical, impact, abrasion and temperature resistance with an extremely fast cure. A single coat, fast cure application provides a less costly, high quality coating with minimal downtime.

Corrosion Solutions for the Water & Wastewater Industry

With over 50 years experience developing high performance coatings and linings for a variety of industries and severely corrosive environments, Enviroline understands the many challenges of corrosion. We understand it's more than just rehabilitating your existing tank or pipe. With a growing demand for water supply, increased regulations and shrinking budgets, we know you need a long term solution that won't have a long term impact on your current production or budget.

The Solution

Enviroline's high performance epoxy novolac coatings and linings provide the very best protection available in the industry while minimizing your downtime and total cost. Customize a corrosion protection plan with Enviroline's complete line of corrosion protection solutions.

Mentioned below is a brief description of a few Water & Wastewater products and the applications they man be used.

Moisture Tolerant Lining

The Enviroline® 222 is a 100% solids epoxy novolac designed for general use as a chemical resistant lining to protect and restore sub-grade concrete containment basins, vaults or tanks. It is typically used in sewer manholes, concrete sewage pipes, lift stations, wet wells, concrete pipes and other sub-grade concrete containment structures.

Potable Water Lining

The Enviroline® 230 is a 100% solids two component epoxy novolac designed as a single coat rapid cure internal lining for potable water storage tanks and pipes. Enviroline 230 is certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for direct potable water contact, including commercial hot water up to 180°F (82°C) in 500 gallon tanks or larger and 10 inch diameter pipes or larger. It also meets AWWA Standard C210-03 performance requirements. Enviroline 230 is typically used as the internal lining for steel and concrete potable water storage tanks and pipes.

Polyurethane Enamel

Envirothane® 550 is a high performance, high gloss aliphatic acrylic polyurethane. This spray applied coating provides excellent long term color and gloss retention as well as superior UV, chemical, abrasion and moisture resistance for all standard exterior applications.  Envirothane 550 is available in 22 standard colors, including 5 safety colors, and with color matching capability. It may be used with Enviroline 202 Epoxy Primer.

Sealant & Lining

B-FLEX 9400 is a chemical resistant epoxy novolac polysulfide designed to be applied as a flexible base coat or lining for concrete or steel surfaces that experience movement due to physical, mechanical or thermal forces, including secondary containment structures, process floors, tank pads, drum storage areas, concrete tanks and pipes, basins and sumps, sewer manholes, concrete sewage pipes, lift stations, wet wells, digesters, clarifiers, and other sub-grade concrete containment structures. Spray and trowel versions available.

Moisture Tolerant Primer

Enviroline® 50 is a low viscosity ultra high solid moisture tolerant epoxy polyamide primer. It is designed for application over both dry and damp cementitious based substrates prior to application of Enviroline chemically resistant topcoats. Enviroline 50 is pigmented to improve visibility during application and insure uniform coverage over damp concrete, especially in low light application areas such as manholes, wet wells and lift stations.

The Single Coat, Fast Cure, Ultra High Solids Advantage

,

The Enviroline® Series of single coat, thick- film products provide many advantages over thin-film coatings:

Fast Application

Thin-film coatings require several coats to achieve a specified thickness of even 20 mils DFT. Enviroline thick-film coatings and linings are designed to be applied in a single coat at a thickness ranging from 20 to 180 mils DFT, thereby decreasing labor cost and increasing the speed with which the area is returned to service.

No Inter-Coat Adhesion Problems

Multiple coats increase the risk of intercoat adhesion problems thereby making application more difficult. Two coat systems may fail due to blistering, delamination and missing the re-coat window. Multiple coats also increase application and cure time, creating a more costly overall application. This can be avoided with Enviroline`s single coat application.

Ultra-Low VOC`s

Enviroline coatings and linings have little or no VOC`s, making these coatings less hazardous to apply and helping the owner to meet environmental regulations.

Fast Cure

Enviroline coatings and linings cure within hours rather than days. Fast cure coatings are even available for low temperature applications. (see individual data sheet for cure schedule and conditions). This fast cure advantage substantially reduces the costs associated with a tank, pipe or containment area being out of service.

Impact and Abrasion Resistance

Enviroline coatings and linings offer superior impact and abrasion resistance compared with thin-film coatings. This is important to the longevity of the coated area.

Chemical Resistance

Enviroline coatings and linings offer excellent chemical resistance for continuous immersion in the harsh environments commonly found in the Water & Wastewater industry, including hydrogen sulfide, sulfuric acid, chlorine and hydrochloric acid.

Saves Money

Enviroline coatings and linings will reduce the overall cost of a job, from labor costs to the costs associated with the tank, vessel or pipe being out of service. Enviroline coatings and linings will also save the owner money over the long-term with its higher quality coated surface.

Longevity

Enviroline`s quality thick-film coatings and linings will lengthen the life of the tank as evidenced by 50+ years of proven history.

Coating & Lining Job Highlights

Enviroline® 230 NSF/ANSI Certified Potable Water Lining - City of Miramar

The Utilities Department for the City of Miramar, Florida had many requirements in restoring its Water Precipitator. What they chose to meet those requirements was Enviroline® 230 NSF/ANSI Certified Potable Water Lining.

This concrete tank with steel substructures is used to separate suspended particles from water as part of the City`s water treatment. The particles, or floc, fall to the bottom of the tank and the water is then removed and further treated. Over the years, the concrete and steel had corroded significantly due to chemicals and weathering as well as the constant abrasion and impact of the moving particles in the solution.
